Kitties!
It's been a terrible day here at the Katnip Lounge.
1. When Daddy left for his FIRST doctor's appointment at 7 AM he discovered the hot water heater had died and puked it's watery guts--all 40 gallons of it--onto the garage floor.
2. Daddy's appointment was actually for the day before, but they worked him in. However, he had to wait a bit...which made:
3. Getting to his SECOND doctor's appointment an adventure in high-speed driving.
4. The hot water heater was under warranty, so it was replaced for free. However, Mommy and Daddy had to haul it back to the hardware store to exchange it...
5. ...AND go back three more times for parts!!
6. Then, they had to clean the garage.
Admittedly, none of these thing have any direct impact on us, except Mommy is a wee tad stressed. She says all she wants to do is gobble a Xanax and post a gratuitous kitteh pic--so here you go!
Happy Wednesday!
XX Teh Kittehs XX
Ooooooooo, love the cat and the cat grass!! Yum...cat grass!
ReplyDeleteMom says she is sorry for your troubles :( Glad all is fixed :)
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure, JJ
and Angels Tiger and Tillie
I think the mommy needs a big cat hug. And a drink
ReplyDeleteJust you wait--they're gonna find some way to blame this on the kitties. You can't have 13 kitties and that much "water" on the floor without somehuman claiming it's you-know-what. Pfft!
ReplyDeletelol on spitty's comment. oh sorry you had a crappy day.
ReplyDeleteemma and buster
:( Sorry for the very bad icky yucky day but a purry kitty is better than Xanax any time, and you have such a variety to choose from!
ReplyDeleteAw, hugs to your mommy and daddy! Hope your daddy's appointments went well! Hope that's the last of the water heater problems! And hope your mommy can destress!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the picture of the kitty! Hi Johnny!!!! Smooches!
Keep calm and snorgle a cat
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a no good very bad day. I hope tomorrow is better.
ReplyDeleteMommeh said there'd be days like this.
ReplyDeleteMommeh said, Mommeh said.
Heh-heh, hope we provided a little comic relief.
Hope you have a better Wednesday.
XOXO
Sorry for your trubbles - we hope things get better for you - and that everything that was on the floor of the garage was in plastic tubs...
ReplyDeleteXOX T & Crew, where the udders are getting bigger and bigger by the day.
Oh dear... sending purrs that the rest of the week is better!
ReplyDeleteA little bit of water makes for a BIG mess. Ask me how I know this. Or don't, actually. So glad it was into the garage and not the house... or the lounge! *shudders*
ReplyDeleteThat was indeed a no good terrible horrible day! Water evrywhere is awful! And TBT just HAD to mention to US that OUR water heater is 26 years old...
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the flood around our litter boxes...
That photo is actually very nice indeed!
ReplyDeleteAnd that does sound like the day from hell. May the rest of the week be much quieter.
Purrs,
The Chans
Your poor Mummy and Daddy. Hope they got it all sorted. That a super photo.
ReplyDeleteWhoa boy...that was ugly. I hope today is better. Well...at least the tank is in the garage...I guess it could be worse and be INSIDE the house, right?
ReplyDeleteGlad that day is over! Whew!
OH dear me...some days it does not pay to get out of bed!!! I bet you kits...were able to calm the nerves
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Yikes, what a crummy day! We sure hope today is exponentially better!
ReplyDeleteJacob says 'YAY' for Xanax!
ReplyDeleteJane x
that's the type of adventure that is best avoidable. i'm sure you all learned a few new choice words.
ReplyDeleteAt least the garage floor got a good scrubbing!
ReplyDeleteUgh!
ReplyDeleteYour pawrents should have had a stiff drink first! Then one tackles the problem ;)
ReplyDeleteMy peeps have that nightmare a lot which is why they replaced our hot water heater before anything bad happened. Our heater is in our apartment so we’d have to replace everything plus pay for the downstair’s neighbors to replace their things. Hope your Dad is OK. Great pic.
ReplyDeleteOhhh that sounds awful. We hope the Xanax helps. And of course the very bestest medicine ever are lots of kitteh furs. PS: don't forget to shed. That's very important in the recovery process.
ReplyDeletePriorities.. you have them in spades :)
ReplyDeleteand so darn adorable in your nap too
Keep calm sweetie!
ReplyDeleteO.M.C. Number 1 gave my mom a empathetic anxiety attack, since our water heater has nine toes in the bone pile. Forty gallons of water in our place would be very very bad. I suppose she should bite the bullet with that and maybe stockpile chocolate first, just in case.
ReplyDeleteOh no, what a terrible day! It must have been really frustrating, especially that you had to go back to store three times. Your mom and dad deserve furry purry snuggling with you kitties :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible, bad day! Hope it's better now!
ReplyDeleteUgh! We hope kitty hugs all around helped end that ugly day! Purrs...
ReplyDeleteUgh, we feel your pain. We prescribe a cat snorgle session, followed by a martini.......
ReplyDeleteOh what a horrible day! Mine was expensive in repairs (car) but it's been awhile since I had the water heater do an eruption all over the place.
ReplyDeleteyep - that's bad. glad you all have the catio to stay safe from all the "excitement"
ReplyDeleteOh nos! What a bad way to start the day. We hope Mommy and Daddy are back to normal. We see a very relaxed tail, so looks like you all did fine!
ReplyDelete~ The Bunch
Oh yes the joys of home ownership...well one good thing. It was only the garage and not the main casa del gato!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a stress full week so and I hope it goes upwards and better from now on. Virtual hugs from here and real one's soon hopefully
ReplyDeleteYikes! That kind of day belongs in the bottom of the litter box...or litter pool in your case!
ReplyDeleteohhhh noooo!! Poor Mommy and Daddy!!!
ReplyDeletePoor beans...a masheen died, and your dad had to go to the ebil bean v e t twice? That's is a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day!
ReplyDeleteWe thinks some kitty cuddles and purrs would be the purrfect medicine!
Sasha, Sami, & Saku
That is one sucky day!
ReplyDeleteI hope a few kitty cuddles were received!
big hug. We had a zanie kinda day too.
ReplyDeleteAm thinking the universe is making everything really DIFFICULT these past few days. Am sorry the hot water tank died, but a replacement for free is a good thing. At least no kitties were injured or harmed, and that's a good thing too.
ReplyDeleteThere must be something in the air because the mom had one heck of a day today too...and she would love to have one of those xanax...and a stiff drink.
ReplyDeleteThat IS a pretty darned awful day. Mommy might need a whole bunch of purrs and headbonks and snuggles to help her feel better.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds horribly stressful! Sorry you had to deal with all that. Thank goodness you have lots of kitties to provide healing and blood-pressure-reducing purrs.
ReplyDeleteOh mine goodness - da stars musta been outta linement for you on dat day. Hoping yoo all are de-stressed by now and happy again. Many purrs to yoo!
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened…those are two pawtastic pots of Cat Grass. Maybe if your mom had some of that she wouldn't need the Zanax. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Astrid, Lisbeth, Giulietta, Fiona and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was pretty bad... but not as bad as my human's retaining wall which is gonna cost 80 GRAND to replace!! So in the relative scheme of things, you are not so bad off.
ReplyDeleteYikes, that was a big pain for sure. Johnny, great shot of teh floofy tail!
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry to hear about the stress your humans experienced on their unlucky Wednesday. We hope it has improved greatly since then.

ReplyDeleteholy CAT. Mommy's had a day or three like that. She feels your mom's pain!
