...but it's too funny not to share!
Kitties, Daddy is Verreh Pickeh about bananas, they have to be *Just Right* to eat.
(Seriouslies, he'd make Goldilocks look like an amateur if she was judging fruit instead of porridge, beds, etc.)
Anyhoo, he took a bite of this one and it wasn't up to his rigorous ripeness standards...fortunately Mommy likes 'em rotten spotty so he decided to save it for her. She about died laughing when she got home and saw it on the counter! Who puts a plastic clothes pin on a banana?
And yes, she did eat it...in a smoothie, whizzed up with soy milk, fresh pineapple, and coconut.
Happy Tuesday!

I think we felines should get a carer's allowance - after all, we are keeping these people out of the insane asylums, aren't we ? Honestly - that is just WEIRD.
ReplyDeleteHumans have very weird eating habits! BTW, my human is picky about her bananas too - they have to be ripe, but not TOO ripe. Her boyfriend likes them greenish - when they get to ripe for him, he lets her have them but she usually has to wait another couple of days before they are ready for her.
ReplyDeleteIf the bananas get too ripe and she is feeling ambitious, my human will make banana bread!
Ha ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteHey, my mom is such a teatotaller that she can get a buzz from an overripe banana!
Well, that's a creative way to keep little paws out of the banana.
ReplyDeleteHey, whatever works.
ReplyDeleteOur humans were just laughing about all the things we've seen people tie up their tomato plants with - pantyhose was at the top of the list!
Good catch on the spelling error on our blog. (thanks!) Mommy says thats what happens when you have two wild kittens and a Mommy on Benadryl!
ReplyDeleteMOL ! Dad is an almost-green-bananas eater, and Mum... She doesn't eat bananas (and not many fruits at all, to be true !) Purrs
ReplyDeleteMum likes her bananas like the one in your picture!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Mom likes her bananas when they just turn yellow.
ReplyDeleteHowever, lately she says bananas do not have taste like they did when they had the Chiquita sticker on them :/

That is funny!!!
ReplyDeleteA creative man, lol !
ReplyDeleteEwwww, gross. Bananas have to be *just* ripe -- too yellow or heaven forbid, spots, and our human won't touch them. She's impressed with the clothespin, though -- very creative.
ReplyDeleteLOL LOL LOL! Wow I've never ever thought about putting pin on banana! Your daddy has very unique idea!
ReplyDeleteYep, hoomins are very odd.
ReplyDeleteMOL MOL MOL my peeps are 'nanner nuts too. When they buy them they are too green...within a day they are too ripe and the smell but mom refuses to make a trip to the grocery store every day for 2 bananas. The clothes pin is hilarious
ReplyDeleteHugs madi and mom
Too funny.. and yum your smoothie sounds good
ReplyDeleteMOL! That's funny! That banana would get thrown out around here for being WAY too ripe for our mommy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that pinched banana was put to good use ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe think you came up with the perfect solution on how to use the banana. MOL
ReplyDeleteI would have used duct tape.
ReplyDeleteDaddy is verrah funny

Heeee! Our mommy's gotta have 'em GREEN. No black on the outside at ALL.
ReplyDeleteTBT here: I cracked up! Bananas were always a source of contention when I was younger. Dad like them well-ripe, but we kids didn't so Mom always had to hide a couple for Dad. Now, when Dad was here with me in 2012, he couldn't imagine eating them "well-ripe" and wanted them bright yellow only! And *I* like them riper. Tastes change.
ReplyDeleteI give Scott a lot of credit. My husband would have never put the clip on it and would have just left it on the counter. A smoothie was the perfect use for it!

Mommy was laughing so hard, she started pounding on the kitchen counter. She is the pickiest nanner eater we know. If they are more than a day past green, she doesn't like them. She will gag them down in her cereal, but a banana that looked like that one would go in the fridge for banana bread or the compost bucket. And that's before it sat out on the counter all day with a bite out of it. Thank Scott for giving our mommy such a good, snort-worthy laugh. ReplyDeleteWell, it's a clip nana not a nip nana!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny, but sweet of hubby to save it for you.

I was so hoping to find companionship with Scott's banana-pickiness until I realized that his went the other way to mine. Mine is the eternal search for the green banana that is JUST the right side of actually crunchy. Actually crunchy is not good. But I am desolate, as ripeness is beyond the pale. Glad you enjoyed your smoothie. I think yours is the easier banana path. Mine, as ever, is barren. I sound like Henri le Chat. I feel like Henri.
ReplyDeleteTW likes ‘em raw and Pop likes ‘em almost raw. TW also thinks size matters so she won’t buy them unless they’re HUGE!
ReplyDeleteI'm as picky about bananas as he is. The clothespin in hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, Gordon will eat bananas so ripe, they look like roadkill. Major eeeeyuw!
