Kitties!
Salem here.
As is only right and proper, Mommy makes home-made treats for us; dehydrated chicken jerky. Every couple of weeks she poaches, slices, and dehydrates 5 pounds of boneless skinless chix titz (that's what she writes on the grocery list) for our enthusiastic consumption.
Naturally, some kitty does spot Quality Control throughout the entire process. There's four basic steps:
1) Attempted Chicken-Fat Theft out of the sink (The Baby)
2) Endless Raw Titz Licking (again, The Baby)
3) Burning the Roof of the Mouth Eating Too-Hot Chopped Up Chicken (you guessed it!)
4) Getting in the Way of the Knife and Licking Every Single Slice (need we say who?)
We all love the finished product--and the best bit is eating the still-warm chicken crumbs from the bottom of the dehydrator, like thus:

Spoilt?
Not us!
Happy Tuesday!

Now we have a dehydrator so perhaps it should be used for us, not human berries and apples. Nice on Salem - that looks so warm and crunchie and yummy. *Jealous*
ReplyDeleteMe, Binga and Boodie can totally vouch for the deliciousness of your human's dehydrated chicken!
ReplyDeleteWow, you guys have it good!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm... note to self. Add dehydrator to Christmas wish (demand) list.
ReplyDelete; ) Katie
...Please though. Don't say c-h-i-c-k-e-n in front of you-know-who.
That's really cool! But the mom told us she will not be dehydrating anything for us (lazy bean). We heard all the scrumptious delicious crunches sounds. YUM!
ReplyDeleteYou guys ARE spoilt! Sounds so deelish.
ReplyDeleteThose sound delishus!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks yummy. Must get my human to get one of those!
ReplyDeleteNo invitation needed, lol ! That appears very yummy to my cats too !
ReplyDeleteYou were really tucking in there Salem. Those dehydrated chix titz sound delicious.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! We have a "boneless skinless chix tit" (MOL) grilled for us weekly and cut up as a treat, but never thought about making our own jerky.
ReplyDeleteMmmm delish! My babies are jeal-ASS!

ReplyDeleteSounds like The Baby is IN CHARGE of quality control. Good job to have, I should think. Good job, for sure.

ReplyDeleteSo wait. Your mom is a poacher? Must be Nevada rules in play!
ReplyDeleteSo The Baby's reminded me about chicken thefts from the sink (Izzits). He need to tell about that!
So, what we say, is that is exactly why you are there and that is to be spoiled. That Mom does do some good cooking for all of you. That chicken sounds yummy. You all have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great mom to do that for you and let you do quality control.
ReplyDeleteYou lucky kitties! Real live dead chic-hens AND a real live dead burd to chew on. We wants to be 'dopted by your beans. Our mom bean sucks!
ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
You guys are so lucky.
ReplyDeleteAll that sounds very yummy ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteWe're gonna say 5. We see 4 cats... but are pretty sure there's got to be SOMEONE hiding out in the wings. ; )
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you said it about yourselves before we had the opportunity. Your mommy is so good to y'all. Can we borrow her? Ho, ho,ho, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
