Inspection

Kitties!

The Baby here, at last.

Boy, our Mommy sure is pretty lame when she decides to take a break...no blogging, no commenting, and--get this--no reading other kitties' posts, either!  When we finally got her to sit down (for Cod's sake) and fire up a device she had nearly 1000 posts to wade through...a fitting punishment, we say.

Naturally *I* never take time off.  "Vigilance" is my middle name*, and  I snoopervised whenever Mommy was busy frittering away time in the kitchen.

And speaking of kitcheny matters, I would like to state for the record that I know nothing about the butter dish, nor the contents thereof, or why Mommy had to put a rubber band around it to prevent any freestyle feline fatty feasting.

I have total and complete disinterest in Teh Butters.

It was Some Other Kitty.

Happy Monday!

*more fitting would be "MOOCH"--ed.

  1. The kitchen is my favorite place too, except I guess what I do is not inspection. I think it is more like private detective work.

  2. We know nothing about said butter dish. Nothing at all. We also know nothing about any buttery paw prints on any kitchen counter. Nothing at all.

    ; )

    Happy New Year, dear friends!

  3. The Farm cats are somewhat well behaved when it comes to the kitchen. They stay off of the counters and do not get in the butters

  8. Okay, The Baby, we understand....so then, you won't mind if we lick on that butter some? And hey, that rubber band is now a cat toy - even if it takes all seven of us and all day to get it off.

  9. Of course you didn't do it. Every kitteh is innocent, all the time, no matter what.

  10. We LOVE rubber bands! That would be as enticing as the butter. A butter dish with a rubber band would probably end up on the floor in pieces while we tried to wrestle it off.

  11. Wow, 100 posts to reply to seems hard ta US. But you guys get away with a lot. Just seeing that wading pool litter box in the header keeps us MOLing fer a week!

  15. You went inside a cupboard and found butter? EVER LUCKY! Nothin' that good can ever be found in our cupboards. Ours appear to contain far more borin' stuff that than.

  19. If butter is served on a dish it's meant to be licked. Just sayin.

  27. You are completely innocent, we know you would never be involved in anything like that....but you are sure pretty up there amongst the Fiesta Ware!

  28. I am sure it want you. You have a great vantage spot there to snoopervise the goings on.

  29. Love your hidey spot in that cabinet, Baby! Don't let a little rubber band stop you from getting into that butter!

  30. I'm so glad you guys are back and the first post I read features The Baby. Yay! You look so adorable in the cupboard. We'll be waiting to hear more about Teh Butters. :)

  32. Ooooh, that is a great hiding spot!

Don't give the Mom crud about catching up. She doesn't have to. bloggers are endlessly forgiving and she always has a mulligan at my place. Although we had TONS of fun and very exciting things happened while she was away! (No really, but it sounded good, didn't it?)

  33. …… we broke the butter dish. Looks like you all have Fiesta dishes? So do we… Mom and Dad got a red Fiesta butter dish as a wedding gift a couple of years ago. One of us kitties who shall remain unnamed *cough cough DELILAH cough cough* would always jump on the counter and break into the butter dish. Well, one day she knocked it off and it broke into a bazillion pieces. And now the butter is kept in the refrigerator. Thanks A LOT Delilah! Now none of us can have any butter… You're lucky, The Baby. Just be careful --- if you break the butter dish, chances are you won't get anymore butter ever again!!!

  34. Mum cupboards are too full to fit in a cat, even a little one like me!

  35. Those are some colorful dishes! Whoa! You’re allowed in the closet with the dishes. TW would really throw a heart attack if I did that.

  37. I know exactly how you feel, The Baby. I don't know why us cats always get the blame whenever there's some sort of incident involving butter.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Good thing my cats can't see this...so far no one has tried visiting the cupboards. Baby looks very pristine among the colorful dishes!

  39. Tee Hee! Daddy had to buy a special plastic thingy to keeps Kozmo out of the butter!
And HE says the same as yous!!!
