Black and White Wednesday

Kitties!

Salem here.
And I have momentous news to report:

Mommy petted me and I PURRED!

This is a first, kitties.  Up until now I've enjoyed loveys and attention but the only person I would turn on the rumbler for was Daddy--however yesterday Mommy caught me in a weak moment petted me *just right* and I simply couldn't resist--I revved up my engine full throttle and purred like a motorboat.

Naturally, she's trying to repeat the phenomenon by petting me at every opportunity.

Tell me, kitties, should I give in and purr again?

Happy Wednesday!

  1. As long as it was a purr and not a coincidental tectonic plate movement indicating pending seismic doom, of course you should!

  2. We think looking as regal and dashing as you are in that photo, you should make the mommy work harder to get that purr :)

Concats to your mom. Mom says she knows the feeling of getting that first purr.

  3. It took three years for one of my kitties to purr, so I completely understand your mommy being so excited. Please, Salem, keep purring for her. She's just a 'bein and all and it will make her happy forever!

  14. We think you should give her another purr! We also think maybe one day Scouty will give her one too! :)

  16. That is wonderful, Salem. I'm sure your purr brightened your mom's day!
I think you should give her occasional purrs, well, if she refrains from whale remarks on you :-)

  17. Salem, a handsome mancat like you can easily wrap her around your paws with some purring! Go for it, man!

  18. Quite the quandary.... I never purred for my #1 (I only purred for Tommy) until after I had my kittens, but she really stood by me then and so, since then, I have given it. Probably worth your while, Salem.

    Purrs,

  19. You must train her to hit the right spot. Keep up the good work, and reward her when she performs correctly!

    Don't want a complacent Mom :)

  30. I would say to Purr Again. Your Mommy works hard to make y'all happy, so let her have a little lubbins every now & then. It doesn't hurt to keep the mommy happy since she has control of the stinky goodness and nip. Salem, you are truly a beauty.
