Kitties!
Rupert here.
There were some weird goings-on around here Wednesday. Mommy disappeared out the door with some of my furblings, and a little while later returned with what appeared to be totally different kittehs!
They looked different.
They smelled different.
I decided to introduce myself--it never hurts to be friendly to newbies--but upon closer inspection I got the surprise of my life:
I already knew this kitty!
It was my sisfur Sweet Pea.
*big sigh of relief*
Thank Cod the only bath I got was on my forehead.
Happy Friday!

good to hear your mom and dad hadn't found new recruits to bring home :)
ReplyDeletechange is difficult.
ReplyDeleteYou two can relax now and enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteAre you SURE they aren't imposter kittehs? A lot of suspicious activity going around if you ask us....
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea looks so sweet. I, too, need to make an appointment for Carl, my himalayan. He likes being brushed on the top half, but not the bottom so that leaves a nice jumble of matties. His hair is real fine and mats easy, so I have the groomer take his fur down to the skin, literally. Your lion tail kills me :) I have them shave off Carl's so he looks like he has a snake following him around! I am always anxious to see photos of the mondo-grande cats; Maui and John. They look so handsome and cuddly after their Summer 'dos.
ReplyDeleteHow utterly unsettling! Glad you were gentle with her!
ReplyDeletePhew! You know what Rupert? I am very relieved it is the real Sweet Pea too.
ReplyDeleteRupert, you are such a gentleman!

ReplyDeleteMeow Rupert & Sweet Pea,
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar problem in my house. I gotted my lion cut not too long ago, and when I came home from teh groomers, my bruffer Sheriff Rosco P. Catrane didn't know who I was! He hissed at me for two days! But when I hurked up my fuds for no other reason than that I could, he knew I was the same kitteh -- just with less furs
