Kitties!
Kona here.
If I look a bit discombobulated in this photo, well, it's because I am.
Friday morning, with no warning whatsoever (so I could HIDE) I was stuffed placed gently into a carrier and hauled off to the vet's office for a GROOMING, for a variety of reasons:
I'm shedding my summer coat
I loathe being brushed
I BITE
I had tons of mats which appeared overnight
I'm too arthritic to attend to the mats myself
I bite HARD
My unbelievably long clicking toenails need to be professionally trimmed, because, you guessed it, I BITE.
Nothing wrong with the ol' jaws on this ladycat!
Unfortunately the groomer lady scared me witless wore chain mail which meant I forgot to give her a big juicy chomp, so she shaved my mats, gave me a bath-n-blow dry, a comb out, AND trimmed my talons without any loss of blood.
I feel a lot better now though...I may have to admit the whole ordeal wasn't all THAT bad.
NOT.
Happy Caturday!

No loss of bloods??? What a waste.
ReplyDeleteHorrors! We hope you got extra chicken bits for enduring that torture!
ReplyDeleteYou could BITE Mommy. I mean, it really was her fault you were subjected to this torture.
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Kona Kitty! I agree with Spitty. Unless of course, it was your daddy that did the stuffin' and haulin'.. then bite him instead! But really, bite something or someone, snacks or pawrents!
ReplyDeleteDarling, beauty is pain and you look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt must feel great to have those mats out! Although I imagine you are bummed that you didn't get any bites in.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you put up a good fight, maybe next time there will be blood. lol
ReplyDeleteHi Kona,
ReplyDeleteRupert in the u.k.here. My Mum found a big lump of matted fur under my tum and of course just had to interfere and cut it out, I don't bit though so I was reasonable and let her do it,took her two goes though.
You are looking very handsome and hugely mancatly in your new "do", Kona!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Honey, you remind mommy of her adventures with Admiral re; mats and talons and while Admiral was stoic about being attended to, it was only because she was so ill. Hand in there baby! You look pawsome and you will feel better for a long time.
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful after your salon trip. We're kinda sad there was no blood shed though. These things must be paid for.
ReplyDeleteLookin hot, girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You look GREAT! I know it's not fun while it is happening, but it is sure well worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteKona, I am sure you'll remember to bite the next time! You look fab!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's mean!
ReplyDelete-- Zazou
Chain mail... she came prepared!
ReplyDeletePoor Kona....all that and no bloodshed
ReplyDeleteYou is an inspiration Kona! Looking good girl.
ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
Wow, you had a big day! Chain mail....sounds like the groomer is very well prepared :-)
ReplyDeleteYou do look fantastic, Kona!
Wow, mats are one thing, but shaved right down ta the tummy-skin? Yikes... We better make sure WE dont have any mats on US!
ReplyDeletePoor baby! You look great though!
ReplyDeleteNever forget the power of the Bitey! A good Bitey will set mum straight. Maybe one to dad too, cuz he associates with mum.
ReplyDeleteYou look great.
ReplyDeletehubba hubba Kona.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking fine!
The groomer lady was really lucky to come away from that unscathed.
ReplyDeleteKona, it's a goof thing it stays pretty warm where you are. If any of us got shaved (Giulietta), we'd (she'd) be freezing her hiney off (not such a bad thing as it's big as a house) in another few weeks. We are happy the ordeal was not as traumatic as you expected. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteWell Kona it may not look the prettiest, but I bet you feel tons better!
ReplyDeleteOh Kona.. maybe they'll take you back so you can give her the chomp she was supposed to get..
ReplyDeleteBut I'm glad you feel better, and really in the end that is what matters, right??
