Kitties!
CC here.
Mommy has been pretty sad lately, but I told her that sometimes you just have to pull up your socks* and leap back into the fray:
Thusly!
We are all very grateful for the kindness and love of our Readers--Kona's passing knocked the stuffing outta Mommy, but she's determined to get back in the swing of blogging because it helps her to feel better.
I'm doing my part, running around like a silly madcat...
Happy Thursday!
XX CC XX
*Metaphorically. Kittehs don't wear socks.
Your Mom MAKES socks so she should be able o pull them up. But it takes time and not having Miss Kona around to serve and please is a huge hole in everyone's life and she must be honoured. If you were all not sad, then that would be wrong. But yes, maybe blogging will help get back to the new normal......
ReplyDeleteI can empathize with your Mommy, CC. I went through several "passings" and it just throws you to the ground and sometimes it takes a while to fight your way back up. Time heals all wounds, and soon, hopefully, your mommy and daddy will laugh at Kona's silliness and funtimes and memories and the sad times will be less. So, it's up to the rest of you Kats to keep your mommy and daddy happy and laughing with your antics. Get with it!
ReplyDeleteFrom Kansas, with the 9 kittehs and 1 specter, yours truly,

Kona was a big presence, and it's okay to be sad. Kitties think differently about these things than humans, CC, so go rub up on your humans to make them smile.
ReplyDeleteOf course your human is sad - it's hard losing a kitty, and you guys didn't lose Grayce that long ago either. She will heal in time.
ReplyDeletesometimes you have to fake it until you make it..

ReplyDeleteYour mum is sad and it's hard to blog when you feel like that. The sadness and pain will be there for a long time but it is your job to make her happy again. She will start to remember the good times with Kona Kitty and that will help her heal too. Give her a big purr for me and tell her my mum sends her a big hug.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to lose a good friend. We are still sending her purrs.
ReplyDeleteGive mom time - she's still grieving and there is no time limit on that. It's hard when you love an animal so much and then end up losing that special pal. M sends big HUGS to your mom.
ReplyDeletesending your Mom love and (((hugs))))) catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteYou all need to give your Mom lots of purrs and running around like nuts will make her smile too. I am sending her a hug.
ReplyDeleteWe's sendin your momma purrs.
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy saying goodbye. We send her head bops and soft purrs. CC we think it's a great idea to help her smile with crazy kitty antics. We look forward to hearing about your shenanigans when she feels up to it.
ReplyDeleteMany purrs,
Oscar, Winston, Emily and their servant human
I was thinking about your Mama today and so I'm glad to see this post. It is hard when you are so sad to blog but its also healing. We miss Kona but we still have all of you to send our love too!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Yep, it's tough. We are sending our very best virtual hugs to the Mom.
ReplyDeleteWe know how hard it can be for moms (and dads, too) when a kidlet leaves. She should takes as long as she needs. We'll still be here.
ReplyDeleteOH NO! How did I miss this???! I'm sooooo sorry! That is just too much loss in such a short time.
ReplyDeleteAw, Trish....I wish I was there to cry with you. It's got to be so damn hard. I'll say extra prayers for you....know that I am thinking of you guys.
We know you kitties really help cheer your mom up. Purrs...

ReplyDeleteWow, great photo. Do understand how hard it must be. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteGood job, CC! It is so hard to lost someone you have loved for so long.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
I'm sure you kitties being so cute and silly make your mom feel better. Hugs xoxo
ReplyDeletedo metaphorical socks get lost in the dryer too?
ReplyDeleteThe mourning is really tough. I don't think I'll ever quite get over Fang's passing, and that was around three years ago. Paw-pats to you, really and truly. Stay sad as long as you need -- no need to pull up socks, or spats, or whatever. I believe cats wear spats. They have too much class for socks.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard - but knowing so many others feel your pain and have been thru it themselves really does help. Take your time - each loss is different.
ReplyDeleteWe know that the grieving process can be very long, and we will continue to send our purrs and prayers. We do miss y'all, so we sincerely hope Mom Trish can start blogging again. It can be very cathartic. Sending lots of love. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteAlfie says: But many of us kittehs have sock-like markings. I, for example, have white fur on my back feet that make me look like I am wearing athletic socks. So I look all sporty as I makes my leaps and jumps and runs. I have no explanation (or defense) for the little toe socks on my front feet, however. They make my mom say disrepectful things about my macho catness. She says she wants to kiss those little white toesies, and silly stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteBinky responds: But I see you aren't too manly to snuggle on our mom's lap. By the way, move over. I want to see the Katnip kitties, too.
Oh how we understand. Your mom has had the stuffing knocked out of her a LOT recently with both losses. And we're so glad to see her online :-)
ReplyDeletePurrrrrssss.......
Our Mom understands how hard it is to blog again.. She is still struggling.
ReplyDeleteWe keep this in mind, and hope she and your Mommy does, too.
Goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean I'll miss you
Until we meet again!
