Kitties!
Sylvester here.
Mommy says she loves all my vibrissae, but she is especially fond of the the ones that sprout out of my cheeks. She calls 'em Curb Feelers, like the whiskers people put on cars!
why do cars need whiskers? |
I get lots of human cooties kisses on my curb feelers--I don't quite know what to think about that, so I usually yodel a little and act annoyed. But secretly, I love it.
Happy Sunday!

Sylvester, you have way better whiskers than I do, especially those magnificent eyebrows. Mom had forgotten all about curb feelers. She's probably not seen any in over thirty years. Thanks for hopping today. XOCK, Lily Olivia
ReplyDeleteHey, we all gotta put up a lil protest.
ReplyDeleteYeah, can't always make it easy for 'em, can we? But we gotta say, those are fine whiskers.
ReplyDeleteSylvester, be happy your whiskers are what gets kissed... Ms. Munchkin gives me big smacking kisses right on the nose... ick!
ReplyDeleteWell, those curb feelers are EXTRA sensitive, so I'm not surprised you complain!
ReplyDeleteYour Mommy has an obsession with whiskers, and we know she collects all those you guys have discarded. I#d be very careful to hold onto them as long as you can / especially as they are so impressive.
ReplyDeleteYour curb feelers are so eye-catching :-)
ReplyDeleteSylvester, we think your curb feelers are pretty special, too!
ReplyDeleteWe agree, if they are sensitive , why not yodel!

We bet you get a lot of kisses everywhere, Sylvester! Right?
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
I love some whiskers but curb feelers are really the best!!
ReplyDeleteNext time, try yammering instead of yodeling. That way your mom will learn what's worse.
ReplyDeleteYou have some very impressive whiskers (curb feelers!) We don't have any whiskers, so we find them absolutely fascinating on other cats. We don't miss them though! We get along just fine without them.
ReplyDeleteYou have lovely whiskers, Felix. My mum says she had never heard of Curb Feelers.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and adorable!

Same here Mate, never let 'em know you enjoy the cuddles, it's on OUR terms - right? Er Yeah.......
ReplyDeleteCurb feelers are sensitive, no wonder you yodel a bit ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteTalking about yodel, do you have any Swiss ancestor ? Purrs
DeleteThose are amazing! And I'm with everyone else who has commented here: I love whiskers. My blind cat, Lucy, has the most amazing whiskers. I know she needs them to get around, and I try not to touch them (I don't want them to break!), but I always tell her how magnificent they are.
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
You are handsome-nice selfie.
ReplyDeleteThose are some awesome whiskers Sylvester! Do you know our mom bean had nefur heard of curb feelers...she had to google them. Bet you know what other word you used she didn't know. MOL
ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
Mom said she'd kiss it too, if she's there.
ReplyDeleteEmma an Buster
Very nice....Mom would kiss them too....humans are weird.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
I think the cats secretly love when we kiss them on their noses....heads...and even their bellehs....
ReplyDeleteVery impressive curb feelers, Sylvester!
ReplyDeleteCurb feelers..had to translate that word first and it is a good one, Sylvester. I like to get kissed on my sensors :D Pawkisses for a Happy Week :) <3
