Kitties!
Rupert here.
Do you see those fingers behind me? They are Mommy's! I'm squashing her arm between my body and the sofa cushion...it's tough job, immobilizing Mommy but I'm just the Mancat for it. And I'm sure you can tell by my pose that I am very Hard At Work. Naturally I asked Mommy to take a photo to document my labo(u*)rs, hence this "selfie".
Also, if you look closely at my right arm you can see where the vet stole my furs when I went in for my dental--the nerve! It will take weeks to regrow them right.
My work is never done....
Happy Sunday!

Rupert, you could be Fiona's twin brother. You two look just alike, except for the fact that she has gotten so skinny from the CKD. Right now, she is holding our daddy down. Thank you for sharing this delightfully adorable selfie with us. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteSquashin da arms are a tuff job, but you're just da cat for it.
ReplyDeleteKeeping the Mommy from thrashing around is an inpawtant job an you are JUST the mancat ta do it...
ReplyDeleteCan you believe my human actually moves her arm when I try to pin it down? She creates so much work for me!
ReplyDeleteYour fur is so handsome and shiny and velvety. And to think some of them were stolen! Just rude.
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed hard work - that Screechy Lady is very hard to pin down.
ReplyDeleteThank you for translating for Äiti.
PS Mirsku says to May ling she should just come on over to see if she is welcome..... he's washing himself in readiness.....
ReplyDeleteGood work Rupert! Post another one when her fingers turn blue so we can congratulate you on a job well done!

PeeEss: About labour...we Canadians spell that way too :)
Rupert, good job immobilizing your mom! That is certainly hard labour! Don't worry about the missing fur. We Sphynx don't have much fur at all and we do just fine. It's nice at the vet's, since they never have to shave us!
ReplyDeleteGood job, Rupert! It's important that our moms get some rest, and the arm squashing technique is a great one. :)
ReplyDeleteI bet you are applying enough pressure to ensure her arm is falling asleep...
ReplyDeleteWEll dont Rupert!
ReplyDeleteHappy Selfie Sunday!!

ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
I really sympathise, Rupert! I had my fur stolen from my chin and both front kegs when I overnighted at Dr. 's. I have been watching it regrow, but it's a slow process!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the pinning down!
Purrs,

ReplyDeleteSquashing your mom's arm is hard work indeed, good work Rupert ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. I always have a hard time when my cats pin me like that. It's uncomfortable, but I can't bear the thought of making them move!
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
You are one hard working man!!!
ReplyDeleteWell a cats work is never done, and when it is, the peeps just have to go and move! Fab selfie, and we really didn't notice the fur missing... purrs ERin
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Rupert! My Goro is immobilizing me right now, too. I hope your mom went to bathroom before you squashed her arm - she shouldn't disturb your work :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a good job pinning The Mommy down. My mum says Thank "U".
ReplyDeleteSquishing the peeps is a never-ending job, but you make it look so easy!
