::snerk::
hmmmmmm...what?
Oh Hi!
Scoutty here, with the Back Mat update!
I'm pleased to report that no Atrocities were committed upon my person, I removed it all by myself.
Mommy found it on the floor Sunday morning.
Here it is!
Daddy put it next to a 45 rpm record insert (whatever THEY are) for a size reference.
It was hanging on by that little tuft, so I decided to stop driving Mommy nuts remove it.
Mommy, now you have no valid reason to Touch me.
Like that's gonna stop you...sigh.
Happy Monday!
XX Scouty XX
Scouty, that some tuft, you handsome marmalade man!
ReplyDeleteThat is great news! I had a tangle in my mane but I quiet enjoyed the tickling and untangling I got - I hate the comb so Äiti had to use her hands and it felt soooo gooooood. You never know matey, you might start to like it one day!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is huge! You could really haf sum fun wif that! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow, that is quite a mat, Scouty! Glad you unhinged it.
ReplyDeleteScouty, We is SOOOOO curious we is going to go wake up the old laptop (the one WIFOUT Kaspersky) so we can SEE this "Thing" for ourselves.
ReplyDeleteWe'z verreh glad you wuz able to remove it urself so you did not have to be TOUCHED. Good going!
Wow! I thinks that is great! I sometimes get mats! Last one I had my mom had to cut it out! Boy! Do you have any special tips on how to do a do it yourself mat removal?
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a big tangle. You must feel so much better without that hanging off your back :)xx
ReplyDeleteScouty that looks like half a rug, darling! Did it hurt pulling it out? My you must be brave.
ReplyDeleteGracie and I think you arelooking meowvelous! George
ReplyDeleteDo cuddles count as touching?
ReplyDeleteOMC !!! Scouty ! Are you kidding me !! You do it by yourself !!!! Mom said you remind her a series calls " Jackass " a kind of brutal but have fun ! Boy thing Only ! and you are the man ! Kudos to you !!!
ReplyDeletexoxo
PS : Mom said you are very very handsome with gentle sweet eyes..She send lots of kiss to you : )
Scouty - we understand why you don't like to be brushed, but no pets? Comprehensible! We love pets and scratches. Maybe, someday you will trust your humans enough to let them pet you. Our older brudder, Timmy, rip, eventually let mom pet him and he liked it lots. He purred so loud.
ReplyDeleteAndy,
PS - Timmy had mats on his back until Kiefer came to live with us. Maybe you can ask one of your brudders or sissers to help you keep the furs clean and un-matted.
It seems like NOTHING can get humans to stop touching you, does it, Scouty?
ReplyDeleteYou need to let your Mummy brush you a bit more! lol Such a beautiful cat. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW!! That is a purrty impressive mat Scouty :) Good thing you removed it yourself, heehee
ReplyDeleteWill that stop your Mom from touching you...nope! Moms just gotta do that ;) hahaha

OMC! It was HUGE! WOW!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to get untangled! But, Scouty, we really don't understand why you don't want to snuggle!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Adorable Scouty!! You are a most amazingly clever kitty!!Well done you for removing that clump of furrs all by yourself!! Awwww but you are so cute, everyone just wants to give you a big cuddle!!!
ReplyDelete:-) Take care
x
Hi Scouty !
ReplyDeleteGlad you managed to pull that fur clump all by yourself !
My mom is sooo old so she know´s what a 45 rpm record insert is and how big it is :)
You sure are a handsome mancat. At least in these photos, you didn't have the "she's gonna put me in the stew pot" look. You must be mighty pleased that the mat is finally gone.
ReplyDeleteNothing stops Mommy's.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that was quite the mat you pulled off, Scouty! Bet that feels better now. And best of all, nope, your mom didn't have to touch you to get rid of it. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow have you heard of Ebay? I'm pretty sure some follically challenged hoomans would pay good money for that!!
ReplyDeletewow, that's some mat! but beware, the moms' get these ideas in their heads about "making shur there aren't any more" and then they attack you with that brush- Miles
ReplyDeleteohhhhhhhhh I love the brush, your mom can come ofur here and brush me! - Sammy
Oh Scouty, good job getting that thing off of you. Bet it didn't feel very good but at least it is gone now. You sure are a handsome one. Take care.
ReplyDeletei like your dad's point of reference.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh about how many people in the world do not have any idea what that yellow thing is and think a 45 is a gun :P
ReplyDeleteThat was a big matt Scouty - but you have beautiful furs - be firm with your mom and say NO to the idea of a furcut. Of course we all know she will ignore your request - sighs.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
You look so much like Sherpa the Farm cat you made the publicist smile since she is away and can't pet him
ReplyDeleteWe are so proud of you Scouty! Especially with all of us being "a bit" overweight we couldn't even reach back there to get it in the first place!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Scouty! I sure wish Dante would do the same thing. He is very resistant to me touching any of his clumps.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of you is simply gorgeous, you ginger manbeast, you!
we are glad you got that off, but we suspect that won't get your mom to leave you alone. :)
ReplyDeleteYou should let your mommy brush you 'cause it feels so good! We promise she won't make Scouty Stew!
ReplyDeleteBet that sure feels better with that monster gone!
ReplyDeleteOh Scouty.,that was one heckuva mat, my man! YOu were brave to pull it out. Having mats like that comes with the long hair territiry. Mom was horrified back in March to feel the beginnings of several on MY back. Se got her human comb and believe it or not, did like a "back comb" (from teasing the hair days) on each mat that was form(ing) and they came out without me squalling. S'trewth!
ReplyDeleteHey Scouty, you've got lovely eyes that talk! :)
ReplyDeleteMOL Scouty..."no valid reason to touch you" d'ems is fighting words. It sounds like a double dare to Mom to get near you and you KNOW she will just triple your double dare!!
ReplyDeleteMom really really liked the groovy kitty too it was dang heavy though. She is still thinking on it and where it will live...
Hugs Madi
That was a huge mat Scouty and we're glad you got it out yourself so your mommy wouldn't have to touch you! We have a feeling that she'll keep trying though! We think you are so handsome!
ReplyDeleteThat is huge!! Did it hurts when it came off. At least you didn't swallow it! We knows what happens when that happens!:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday

Luna - WE LOVE LUNA
Wow - isn't that good news. Sometimes it's better to take things into your own hands - errr - paws.
ReplyDeleteLookin' good, Scouty! And I bet you feel better, too!
ReplyDeleteScouty, you could divide it up, plait them and sell to tourists!
ReplyDeleteScouty, our Meowm says she would have to touch you too, even with that fur-mat gone.
ReplyDeletescouty we don't know the whole story behind this mat. i hope no one was hurt :)
ReplyDeleteemma and buster
Great work Scouty!
ReplyDeleteThat mat looks like a fun toy now!
ReplyDeleteScouty, are you sure that is THE mat, or are you pulling another fast one on the beans? We remember the LAST time you "removed" the mat and it took the beans a couple days to figure out it was still there. But we think you could stuff some catnip in that mat and it could be a favorite toy. Or, Christmas is coming, it would make a great handcrafted gift.
ReplyDeleteSpitty's Human says: You are sooooooooooooo handsome and lush, Scouty.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder Mommy can't keep the grabby hands off you!
My fingers are twitching just looking at the screen!
Wow Scouty!
ReplyDeleteThat was a megamat!!

Oh my gosh, that's a lot of hair!!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm sure your mom always makes up reasons to touch you... :-) It's so hard to keep hands off from your gorgeous fur!
That was one huge furmat dood. Glad you got it out on your own.
ReplyDeleteGood work, Scouty! Mom said it's been decades since she's seen one of those record inserts!
ReplyDeletehee hee! our mom still has some LP's and 45's...but no turntable... whatever!
ReplyDeleteScouty, we're proud and impressed that you worked that monstrous mat out on your own! you don't know what your missing tho: chin scritchies, ear rubs, the brush! ::sigh::
Pip, smidgen, Minnie, hollie
Wow, Scouty!
ReplyDeleteOh my gracious - it looks like you were sprouting your own catnip mice!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Scout! How the heck did you pull that thing out yourself?? We are impressed!!
ReplyDeleteScouty, that's a good way to inform your human staff that you know what's best for your personal care!
ReplyDeleteYous got that out by yourself? Wow!
ReplyDeleteYous rocks!
Kisses
Nellie
Holy cow, that is quite a mat! Good thing you took it out yourself before the humans could accost you.
ReplyDeleteScouty, ornj Julius here. I never used to have any mats but since I had to have some fangs taken out, I've been getting some on my belly. My Mummy SNEAKS UP ON ME! When she's rubbing my belly and I am totally blissed out, she whips out a pair of scissors and cuts off a mat. Sometimes she's not fast enough and I get her good. LUcky I don't have too many mats.
ReplyDeleteYou are a smart kitty. I will have to research your mat-removal technique.
