Selfie Skepticism

Kitties!

Sweet Pea here.

Last week I posted about hearing a woofie in the back yard behind ours, and you all had lots and lots of questions...well, I've got the 411!

But first, a selfie I took while I was conducting impawtant research into this disturbing situation:

Anyhoo, the woofie is a Doberman named Nigel, and he is two years old.  His owner (Dogs have owners?  Cats have staff!) is a nice lady who has owned the house for years but has never actually lived there.  It may be a temporary arrangement (personal issues) or it may be a permanent move, although for us it doesn't seem like it's going to matter. Nigel never barks and our wall is too high for him to leap over and devour us, thank Cod.  We only know if he's outside when we hear his tags jingle on his collar while he's snuffling around in his own yard.  Mommy (that horrible woman) has petted Nigel and found him to be a "really nice boy".  She will try to get a photo of him...it remains to be seen if we'll let her post it on our blog though, she was covered in woofie-cooties after she scritched Nigel and has yet to be forgiven.

In the meanwhile, I'm on the lookout.

Happy Sunday!

  1. That's a lovely selfie, Whitester #2 (Don't be offended though--The Baby is Whitester #1, and honestly, who could argue about that?). I vote for NO woofies on YOUR blog. Let him get his own blog. Once the camel's nose is in the tent (ask your Mommy), there'll be no telling what's next. He might come over for a snack!

  2. Now, we have to trust you (or Mommy) that Nigel is nice, but frankly we don't want to take the chance of meeting him up close to sniff his doggy slobber. However, if he could be enticed to send a few Georges your way, he could be a useful neighbour.

  3. I'm sure Nigel is a real cute guy, and you know, sometimes it's good to have a pal across the other side of the wall. Maybe you could help him set up his own blog? I don't let anyone in my Palace, unless they're edible that is! purrs ERin

  6. Very nice selfie.
He may be a nice woofie, but it's good to have that high wall!
    Dog cooties..."shudder" !

  7. Woofies can be nice. It sounds like you won't be meeting Nigel so you can relax.

  8. Well thank goodness for THAT wall!
Sounds good, as long as he minds his own woofie business and doesn't eat any of the George's.

  9. We have a woofie across the back fence too. Mom bean can't remember the name but so far it hasn't tried to visit us. Which is good, because we're sort of afraid of them.

    Great selfie Sweet Pea!

  10. Great selfie of you. Keep an eye out for the woolfie. I hope he stays outside for sure.

  11. Well I guess it's better than living next door to a monkey.

  12. Lovely selfie!

My mum is always making friends with the other cats in the neighbourhood and I don't like it at all. At least she never lets them indoors though.

  17. Popoki says embrace the woofies! She adores her little crew (much more than her feline siblings). You're looking lovely today, by the way!

  20. Don't let those woofie cooties crawl onto you, Sweat Pea! Be vigilant!

  21. Well Sweet Pea, best to stay on guard, but furst Mom needs a bath to gets rids of the cootie smell. Hold her down rub all over her... that should work.

  22. Well, you know what they say about Dobermans...they don't get their brains until they are 3-4 years old! So, don't be surprised at anything that happens with Nigel. And they do like to "woof". I know, we had one that did all the above. She was, however, a pretty nice woofie - the cats didn't mind her one bit.

  23. We are happy to hear that Nigel is friendly and cannot invade your space. Mom petting him is a whole different kettle of dog hair, however. Woofie cooties must be avoided at all costs. We do like your selfie very much and appreciate you all being regular hoppers. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
