Thankful Thursday

Kitties!

Salem here.
Belly up in a pile of nip, next to my valerian plague ratsie, and on butcher paper that is gently infused with the scent of fresh salmon...Life is good.

Happy Thursday!

Scouty and the Giant Swimmer

Kitties!

Scouty here.

On Saturday we received the most fabulous parcel from our pals in Finland, the Punapippuri Gang!

It was filled with all sorts of marvelous pressies.

One of them was this GINORMOUS Polliwog for Jolly Mogs™, hand-crafted by their Äiti (Mum).  Yes, is does indeed look like a giant spermatazoa.  That's part of the appeal...

Sir Wog required some serious scrutiny.

...Yes, I DID inhale.

***sniiiiffffffffffff***

Holy COD kitties, this thing was marinated in Valerian Root!!!!!!
The second part of the attraction.

Talk about delightful.

I beat the tar outta Party Polly and his curly tail for quite some time.

That is, until the Valerian kicked in...
'Scuse me, I think I might need a little nap now.

THANK YOU SO MUCH KING P!!!!

MORE pressies tomorrow!

Happy Tuesday!

Tongue and Toesies Tuesday!

Kitties!

*shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*
May Ling here.
I'm under the sofa, where it's quiet and dark, recovering.
Earlier I overdid sampled the Valerian Root just a teensy weensy little tiny bit.

The root was on the ESS, and I found it first!  I gasped in surprise, usually Mister Maui Wowie is *Right There* when Daddy brings out our stash.

I didn't waste a moment digging in.

It was DEE-LISH-US!
Some of us just rub-n-roll on the root, but I prefer to eat it all up.
I was enjoying the moment so much, I gobbled like a pig forgot my manners and flung root all over--do you see the little speck in mid-air?

Pieces got stuck on my nose and my lips and my chin whiskers, too.

"Clean up on Aisle Elebenty!"
*thlurrrrrrrrrp*

I made the Special Face (you know the one) when I grimaced and inhaled the root's wondrously intoxicating stinky feet aroma.

After a while I needed to sit down...I had a sudden inexplicable urge to splay my toes and wash my tummy.

And then it all became too much and I had to rest.

Kitties, it was totally worth it!
I hope Daddy doles out some more valerian, soon.

Happy Tuesday!

Tuxie Tortie Tussle Tuesday!

Kitties!

Mommy ordered us some more valerian root.  Daddy emptied the bag into our Root Hopper (a round ziplock jar) and let us investigate the odiferous package.

Salem found it first.
Ooooh, smells like people feet.
Heavenly, stinky, smelly, hot, dirty feet.

May Ling:  Hey--I smell The Wondrous Root!

No you don't.  There's no Root here.
Go away.

The Face Off.

One-Eyed Squinty Windmill swatting!

Super Cat Sideways swats!

May Ling, you are crazypantz, plus I'm all wigged out from the Root.
I'm outta here.

May Ling:  Ooooh, smells like people feet.
Heavenly, stinky, smelly, hot, dirty feet.

Happy Tuesday!

You're Asking For It--Award Edition, Part Deux!

Kitties!

Last week we received the Stylish Blogger Award From Maggy and Zoey at ZOOLATRY!

Thank you so much, coming from such talented graphic artists it means a lot to be considered stylish.

We need to tell you seven MORE things about us, and we had a boatload of questions on Sunday concerning Valerian root.  Don't worry, we haven't forgotten your earlier questions...but The Root is so dang good we decided we needed to address it first!

1.  Valerian does have a stinky feets smell, but it's not so repulsive that your Humans are gonna gag or run screaming from the room (darn!) in disgust.  It's easier to clean up than eleventy-seven zillion Nip flakes, too.

2.  Rupert is NOT the only Rootaholic here.  We are all susceptible to it's charms, even those of us who are sorta "meh" about Nip!

3.Mommy ordered our Valerian from Amazon at THIS website; it's sort of pricey but a little goes a long way.  This is the best we've found...yet.

4.  Valerian initially makes us crazypants for just a few minutes, then we get REALLY sleepy and crash out.  In fact, Maui gets a sniff when he's overly wound up to calm him down!

5.  We love BOTH the ESS and the Root!  We can't choose which is our favorite.

6.  Rupert is adamant he does NOT need an intervention!

7.  And one fact about Mommy and HER particular vice:  she prefers cheap wine and expensive gin.  Go figure!

::wink wink::

Now, we know that this award has been making the rounds, so we won't pass it on except to say take it if you would like to!

Happy Tuesday!

Wordy Wednesday

Kitties!

Somewhat Sober Salem here.

I want to thank you all for weighing in on the Nipervention Issue.

Without exception, you all voted a resounding "NO!"  for any need for me to get help with the Nip.

In fact, many of you were interested in the Nip and Valerian Root on offer here, as well as the quantities available.
Kitties, I'm here to tell you, it's a Feline Amsterdam at the Katnip Lounge!
heh heh.

First up, the Valerian Root.
As you can see, Mommy bought us a whole pound!
Originally, Mommy purchased some Valerian on a suggestion from Whicky Wuudler, hoping it would make her irresistable to Scouty.  The idea was she would hold it and warm it up in her hands, and Scouty would come in for the smell and Mommy would be able to stroke him.

Of course this never panned out.  Scouty is either non-reactive to Valerian or just plain too wiley for Mommy.  (We're voting on option #2.)
Valerian smells like really stinky feet.
At least to Humans.
About half of us LOVE it and half of us are "meh" over it.

One thing we ALL love is CatNip!
This is our favorite dried brand.
We go bonkers over this stuff!  In fact, we like to attack and play with the cardboard packaging, too.  It smells delicious and it's purrfect for serious fang perforating.

And we have several patches of fresh Nip.
Since it grows (almost) year-round here, Daddy keeps it clipped and doesn't allow it to go to seed.
This stuff is Da Bomb!

Kitties, I hope I've answered all your questions, and we all hope that your Humans get busy and give you some NIP!
 Right now.
