Hi there, Kitties!
It is I, Salem.
Today I'll be your host and tell you how we Lounge Kats beat the heat.
It's been unusally cold here in Las Vegas this Spring. Usually the cold blowey thing is on full time by now.
But yesterday we had a nice hot day and it was toasty warm on our Catio--which faces West:
Pay no attention to the bikini lady...this is Daddy's thermometer.
And we were starting to get a little warm outside!
Hot Kat!
When this happens, we come inside and lay down where it's cool. The ceramic tile is an even cooler option for any Super-Heated Cats, but that doesn't happen until it gets even hotter.
So I decided to flop on the carpet.
Is it OK to be a little bit vain? I think I have a pretty tummy. I like my little black belt that holds the two sides of my black furs together. If I didn't have it I might lose my little fur suit!
Tomorrow it's supposed to be colder again. But before you know it we'll be in and out all day, toasting on the Catio and cooling on the tile. I can hardly wait!
Have a Happy Tuesday, Kitties!
XX Salem, spokescat, Lounge Kats
You have the best of both worlds!

ReplyDelete100 degrees seems very hot. If it was that hot here cold tiles would be the right place to be. Thank Goddness it never really get that warm here.

ReplyDeleteWe are happier when it is warmer. TBT likes it colder. So, since we cant reach the thermostaterator, we have ta curl up ta stay comfy. Or sit on his lap...
