Kitties!
It is I, Felix!
The guy who started it all. The insane crazy run around like my tail's on fire and luxate my patella cat. After yesterday's post I though I'd better make an appearance, to let all of you admire Me and My Ornjness.
Here I am out on the Catio. Notice how cleverly I've wedged myself up against the house foundation to keep cool. Mommy had to lay down on the carpet tp get my picture. Good job, Mommy!
One night, I hurt my knee. I'm Not Telling how it happened. That's a secret.
This is my leg right after I came home from surgery. I had a pain patch on my tummy. It helped a lot, but it really curbed my appetite. (Kitties, remember to tell your Mommies & Daddies that pain medication might really blunt your desire for food.)
I'll tell you something embarassing. The first couple of times I used the litter box after my surgery I couldn't squat, and I kinda sorta peed on my own foot! What an ordeal it was to get THAT cleaned up all whipped out on drugs...
It took a while, but I healed up and as you can see my leg bends just fine. although I do prefer to stretch it out when I can...

...like here. My leg and tummy furs are almost completely grown back.
With my tail in the "Down" position to preserve my modesty.
You can see that my left leg is nice and straight and I use it normally. In fact, if it wasn't so dang HOT outside I'd be out on the Catio, doing laps around the SkyWay ramps. That's one of my favorite things to do! Mommy and Daddy can hear the wood flexing and thumping as I run around and they look at each other and say: "Felix"! heh heh.
And here is a final picture of Me. Do you see the stairs behind me? Mommy & Daddy bought those for my sisfur KonaKitty, because she is getting old and her hips bother her. Well, they sure were a big help for me, too! I never was a Big Bed fan before I hurt myself, but Kitties, I have seen the light. The Big Bed is heaven!
So there!
I'm all healed up and if Mommy could figure out a way to get me to eat my Glucosamine supplement she'd be thrilled. But I'm too smart for that. They don't call me "Mister Suspicious" for nothing!
Kitties, have a fantastic Tuesday!
XX Felix, aka "Mr. Ornj"
Nice to learn all about you Felix! Such a fast cutie!! Glad you are all healed up!
ReplyDeleteAwww beautiful Felix!!!! LOL!! Me and Charlie think you are a brave and fearless kitty!! What a recovery from such a major op on your poor leg! We are so so so so glad you're all recovered now and being Mr Ornj!!! :-)

x
My great-sister Maxine the Rottweiler had the same problem and she had surgery and was perfectly fine afterwards. And congratulations on your 102 posts! I am very glad you started your own blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Felix! I am glad your little knee is all healed up and you can run around your fancy skyway. You are very brave.
ReplyDeleteBoth yesterday and today's posts are very interesting. Of course, Ornj kitties are especially special to me, Felix. Sorry about the ordeal with your knee, but glad to know it is doing well now. Stairs seem like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteAnd concats on your 102th post!
Hi Felix, we sure are glad to see lots of pictures of you. That was nice of Mommy to get on the floor to take your picture. You are such a handsome guy, we sure are glad your leg is all better. And we are so glad you met the wonderful Creek cats. Have a super Tues.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful orange kitteh! We're glad your owwie is all healed up now. Hey, the Mom wants to say something....
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Greenies Pill Pockets for the supplement? They work well for a lot of meds.
We're very happy to hear that you're all healed up, Felix! We didn't know that pain medication can cause a kitty to not feel hungry, but we're glad we know that now.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad that your leg is all better now Felix.
ReplyDeleteHi Felix you are most definitely a handsome Orange man....Madi said to tell you everything taste better wrapped in ham!! We are so glad you leg has healed and you are able to go about your daily chores.
ReplyDeleteMadi and Mom
I sure am glad your knee is doing better sweet Felix!
ReplyDeleteSweet Felix. My Mommy and me..we didn't know about your knee hurty but we sure are glad it's all better now and that your furs have all grown in again. That was good to know about the pain medication too in case us other kitties need some on day on our tummies.
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Felix and I like the big bed too., It's not as big as your big bed 'cause it just has Mommy and me in it but I like it up there.
Felix you are such a cutie pie, and it makes us purr knowing you are doing fine now and zooming around the catio!
ReplyDeleteWe're pleased to hear you leg has healed up well and your furs are well on the way to being purrfect again. We're glad you can run about like before but just be careful not to over do it and get hurty again.
ReplyDeleteHi Felix, thanks for telling us more about your knee and surgery. It's espcially interesting to me because I see how Simba could have healed if he'd had surgery. His leg is permanently bent but thankfully, it really doesn't seem to bother him. I'm so glad you got proper care. The incision looked pretty painful but it was definitely worth it. It's so great that you can continue to run and jump. I have to admit I'm very curious how it happened. Regarding the glucosamine, Lucy will take anything in a pill pocket and will eat it each time. Simba will fall for the pill pocket once and then never again. (Fool me once, shame on me...) I wish I had a suggestion. Can a powder be sprinkled on your wet food? I know it's hard when there are lots of kitties sharing your home. Some kitties love baby food.
ReplyDeletep.s. I love ornj kitties! :)
Looking good, handsome Felix!...We're so glad your surgery went well and you are completely healed...Happy day sweet friend, you guys stay cool...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome dude you are, Felix. Our mama is in love with you....you remind her so much of her late Fireball.
ReplyDeleteWe're happy to hear that you are doing fine now. xxxxxxxxxxxx
We enjoyed learning more about you Felix. We're glad you are doing fine now and we both think you are furry handsome!
ReplyDeleteFelix the cat, the wonderful wonderful cat!
ReplyDeleteFelix you are pure orange goodness! I think your knee must have been very painful and I am so glad that you are healed and running around again.
ReplyDeleteI love the first picture where you are stretched out by the wall, looks like the house has been painted just to match you!
I am very glad that your leg is all healed up about and you can still run all over the place. That is an important thing.
ReplyDeleteFelix!!! We are very glad you knee is all healed!
ReplyDeleteWe have always been fans of the "big bed"! We are glad you have decided that you like it so much!
My son has two orng kitties and I don't have any. That's not right, is it. I should probably get myself an orng kitty. I'm glad you are healing up and feeling better. Hugs, Deb =^..^=x5
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all healed up...what an amazing story.
ReplyDeleteSure am glad yoor surjeree was such a suksess Felix. Orinch kitties dat can't run around like dey is wild is a sad thing. Hahahaha...mom just realized why she loves yoor background so much, it reminds her of da game boomshine, where yoo pop bubbles and dey make musical notes. Oh, and we wants to know if yoo effur tasted da glucosamine cuz mom useta gif it to Punkin and she would eat it like a treat. It was apposeta be chewables fur humans and malt flavor but mom did not think dey tasted good.
ReplyDeleteWe are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy your leg is healing so nicely and we have really missed you all and all of your crazy antics!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad your surgery was successful and you are all healed and good as new.

Hi Felix, We love your Ornjness! And we're glad that your knee is all better. But take it easy so you won't have to go through that again.
ReplyDeleteFelix, so glad that you leg healed nicely and you are good as new.
ReplyDeleteFelix, you are a handsome orinch fellow and we are so glad you are all repaired now. (Notice we didn't say 'fixed'. That's the other surgery!)
ReplyDeleteYou are sooooo right about beds!
You are quite a handsome orange boy! I'm sorry about your owie--that looks like it was pretty painful. I'm glad you're no longer poodle leg and everything's healed up!
ReplyDeleteMy mom loved you guys' comment last week about Olivia and her kangaroo. Both are doing quite well. And when Olivia gets her fluids, she looks like she has two kangaroos!
I loves me some ornj boys! You are soooo handsome,Felix. I am sorry to hear about the big ouchie but thrilled you are all fixed up now. That leg is looking very fine!
ReplyDeleteFelix, we are so happy that your leg is all better & you can run around all you want (that is, when it's not so hots out!)
ReplyDeleteOur Mom loves looking at your pictures - one of "the ones who came before" us was a little orange poly kitty named Tobey. He was our Mom's constant companion & she still misses him lots, even after almost four years!! Looking at your pics helps keep Tobey fresh in her mind - which makes her happy!
Have a great day!!
~Nico, Simon & JayJay :)
Hi ya, Felix! We're glad your leg is better now and you're running laps now!!
ReplyDeleteYour leg looks like it has healed up very nicely, Felix! I am not sure what it is about humans and those confounded supplements. If they made them taste like cat treats - REAL cat treats, not that chemically-tasting fake stuff - we would be a lot more inclined to take them.
ReplyDeleteYou are very brave to cope with that injury; it looked nasty! Lucky for you you have a great human family. I like the way you lie totally flat.
ReplyDeleteThat owie looks really hurty. We are so glad you are doing so much better and healing well!
