Mommy is supposed to tell SEVEN things about herself!We thought we'd each take one and leave one for her. Sounds fair, right?
1. Mommy is Short. And Fiesty. And Independent.
2. Mommy went to college for 5 years to become a Scientist. Then she discovered she didn't like scientisting. So now she runs a water treatment plant, instead.
3. Mommy LOVES to read. It's like breathing. She HAS to read, everyday.
4. Mommy is an adventurous eater. But she won't eat beets or olives. And it took her 46 years to finally like peas.
5. Mommy is handy. She can build stuff and make stuff and sew stuff. A trip to the hardware store is her idea of a perfect day.
6. Mommy is a fantastic Cat Spanker!
7. I haven't had a dress on in probably 10 years...but I love following fashion. Go figure!

Congratulations on your award. That is some very interesting things about your mum.
ReplyDeleteOur mum wanted to go to University to study science, but was told by her usuless careers advisor she woulodn't get the grades to do see (she did, but by then it was too late to apply). So she studied to become a veterinary nurse instead, however she made some silly life choices and had to give it up.
We're told the last time our mum wore a dress was nearly 3 years ago when she married dad.
Wow, we wish our mummy was as talented as yours!!

Congrats on that terrific award. You all certainly deserved that one. And your Mom sounds a lot like our Mom except that our Mom had no desire to be a scientist. Sounds like she has had and interesting life and we sure are glad she likes peas after 46 years.

ReplyDeleteInteresting things about your Mommy...I'm now picturing a woman eating peas in a dress with a white lab coat turning her nose up at olives!
Tell me it's not the black olives she won't touch `cause if so, she needs to come by us on Thanksgiving. There's a lot of snitching and hand-slapping when it comes to black olives - which run out before dinner even starts!

ReplyDeleteOur mom is a scientist, although it took her a lot longer than 5 years, and she says it's very cool that your mom runs a water treatment plant! (Don't tell anyone, but our mom sometimes works with the stuff that comes out the other end.)

ReplyDeleteOh!!! We were especially happy to read No. 6 about your Mom because we think our Mom is an excellent cat spanker...we LOVE to have our bottoms spanked!! Yeah, we know some people think it sounds like Mom is hurting us, but she isn't and we love it. We both just come back for more spanking whenever she 'panks' us. Are we weird? Naw...I think lots and lots of cats and dogs and horses like spankings...afterall, they are just love pats!! And believe me, we know when we get a love-pat spanking and when we get a bad kitty spanking (we hardly EVER get those because we are, despite our blog name, very good kitties!!). Our Mom would like your Mom cuz our Mom also likes to sew and make things...but she doesn't know anything about water treatment!! Thanks for sharing all those fun bits of info!! ReplyDeleteHeehee, yoor mom sounds really cool. Ours doesn't follow fashion AND she hasn't worn a dress in about 10 years either. ReplyDeleteWell, Boys, I was kind of hoping to see The Baby today since I've been away for awhile, but this was pretty interesting. All I have to say is, Your Human is a LOT more useful than mine, unless, you know, you need to diagram a sentence or something.
