Kitties!
We have an incredible event to report!
Yesterday Daddy ran out to buy Mommy a donut, and when he came back there was one of THESE in the HMS Trout!
A Shih Tzu Woofie!
Daddy found him wandering the neighborhood without a Person so he scooped the lil' guy up and brought him home to keep him safe. He didn't have any tags on his collar, so Mommy called Animal Control to see if anybody had reported a lost doggie. No luck.
So Daddy decided to go back out and drive around the hood to see if he could find the owner, and Mommy put a leash on the Woofie and gave him water and some Cat Snax! (He didn't eat any.)
Kitties, the next part of the story is pretty scary and awful.
Mommy let the Woofie IN THE HOUSE!!!
And then she whistled the Special Cat Treat whistle...and we all came running...and we saw the woofie!!!!
It's gonna be a long time before we forgive Mommy for that dirty trick. We all puffed up about 47 times our size. The Baby was the bravest of us all, she marched up to the woofie and sniffed his bum. He tried to sniff her back and she gave him Ye Olde Smackypaw!
Daddy called just then and said he'd found the woofie's Person, so Mommy took him out into the garage to wait. And his person came and took him home.
Thank Cod.
We spent the rest of the day closely investigating the area where the woofie was inside the kitchen. We had to make sure he was REALLY gone.
Daddy, we think you are the greatest guy...but please, don't ever bring a doggie home again.
Mommy is not to be trusted!
Happy Wednesday!
XX Lounge Kats
OMC!! What a huge event. You guys definitely have an exciting life over there. I have never been up close to a woofie before. Except at the shelter and pet hotels. They seem silly and slow!!
ReplyDeleteIt was so sneaky of your Mummy to do a special treat whistle to get you guys to come a see the woofie! It sounds like something our Mummy would do!!!
We're glad that you've got your peace back now.

Oh.Bast! I got chills just reading this. What an awful, terrible, horbibble experience, Kitties. It was really, really, really, REALLY wrong of Mommeh to bring that Woofie-thing inside YOUR home.
ReplyDeleteAnd The Baby? You're my Goddess, even **more** than before.
Wow, what was your mum thinking...she has obviously lost her head ~ Casper
ReplyDeleteThat was a close call! Good thing the woofie's person was found so he could go to his own home instead of being in yours! Actually, we like woofies so we think the woofie is having nightmares of 12 poofed up cats tonight!
ReplyDeleteOMC, that was a DIRTY trick your human played on you! It would take a LOT of treats, brushing, playing and general kowtowing to make me forgive a human who did THAT to me!
ReplyDeleteNooooo. I am n shock just reading this. I hate to think what would happen here if one of those turned up. And the nasty trick with the treat call. I know you guys love your mom but may we suggest a day of sneaky tricks back - lizard tails in the kitchen, furballs in the bed and maybe there would be some justification in stinky spraying for something this serious. Thank goodness the canine intruder had a human and got collected. The thought of it staying overnight..... Oh, and Äiti thanks you for the calming collar offer but she did try one before with Tuomo and it didn't work (and the smell was horrible). She has a spare here now, but who to put it on. And yes, poor Lewis is a worry........ he has always been frightened of his own shadow. Have a great Wednesday - with no more visitors (except George maybe)
ReplyDeleteThank Cod! A Woofie in the house... Shudder!
ReplyDeleteUm, why does our icon show only partly on yer site? Just coorious.. It looks right most other places. Can we change it so it looks right?
ReplyDeleteThat was mean to show you that dog without warning you! I would have chased him.
ReplyDeleteWoofie in the house, you guys must feel uncomfy but now it's over ! Lucky You !
ReplyDeletePuddy
Wow, that woofie must have had a shock seeing all of you puffing up like pufferfish. I'm glad you found his mum pronto.
ReplyDeleteNow THAT'S a new twist on a Wednesday post! He is darn cute - I bet you would have had to keep him if his person hadn't been found.
ReplyDeleteWell... he is pretty cute... not that we want a doggie HERE, but he is cute.
ReplyDeleteOh Kitties of Katnip Lounge Unite!!! Me and Charlie would have loved to see you all puffed up 47 times!! My goodness!! Go The Baby!! What an action kitty - very brave and bold!
ReplyDeleteAwwww but your mum and dad are such stars for looking after this sweet doggie!!! We think they are both heroes and deserve medals for caring for this sweetie!! We are so glad they found the doggie's hooman!
Oh but we hope you ALL had extra extra stinky noms and treats for your ordeal! Take care
x
OMC! How trawmatick! How cud they? But we are glad the woofie found his beans again.
ReplyDeletePS: Cud yoo ask The Baby wot the woofie's bum smelt like please ~ we've never sniffed one?
Oh. My. Cat. You are WAY braver than us, we wouldn't have been seen for dust!
ReplyDeleteYour dad is a lovely man to help the little woofie out like that.
Hehehe - Power Puff Meows (PPM) ... 12 of them! :)
ReplyDeleteAll puff'ed' up!
BTW, bum smell alright Baby? :)
Thank you PPM's Daddy & Mom for taking Woofie in and making sure Woofie gets home safely! :) That's very sweet and kind ... we need more beans like yours in this world!
Muaks! Purrs!!
OMC, that is a terrible thing. I bet that was something to see, all 12 of you all poofed up. I bet that little doggie was shaking in his paws. Glad Dad found his owner though. What an exciting day for everyone. That was very mean of the head Mom to do that to you kitties. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMy Goodness...What a day you had !! What a sight that must have been seeing 12 cats puffed up 47 times their size...I'm still laughing ! The Baby..You were so brave. Daddy...So kind to help the doggie. And Mommy...You're a stinker !
ReplyDeleteEva & Gracie's Mom
Holy cat that must have been a scary experience! Thank goodness your daddy found the owner.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a scary adventure! We're glad your daddy rescued the woofie, but we think it was plain mean of your mom to give you all the special treat whistle like that.
ReplyDeleteIt's great your dad found the woofie's owner, too, otherwise you might have had a house guest for the night! :-O
A woofie! No way! We don't blame you for not trusting your Mom!
ReplyDeleteThe Baby is brave! I am very glad this story has such a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonder that poor dog didn't faint at the sight of 12 poofed up kitties heading his way!!
ReplyDeleteOH MY WORD!!! You had a home invasion of the worst kind...OMC!!!
ReplyDeleteMom came home smelling like a K9 one time...I gave her a tongue lashing!!!
Hugs Madi
Whitey came face to face with 2 woofies who came to visit with Uncle Daddy's daughter last year. Whitey done double and triple smackeypawed them woofies but good! And he hollered at them, too! The woofies were really askeered of Whitey!!
ReplyDeleteLet's just say that the woofies' Mom and Dad won't be bringing them back here to the Swamp and Whitey. hehehe.
You guys are great but if I had done that, the poor waif wouldn't have lived to talk about it with Joe here. I'd have had to wait with the dog in the car. No, I'm not ruled by my cats :{
ReplyDeleteOh that was a close call!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're still waiting for Oliver's person to come pick him up.
What's that mom? You and dad are his people?
Sigh.
At least it all ended well and thank goodness your Dad and Mom were able to help the lost little woofie!
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad that your daddy and mommy helped that lost goggie! But we are also glad he didn't become a permanent resident at your house! Our mom sometimes talks about getting a goggie, but we are bigger than most of the goggies she likes!
ReplyDeleteBig excitement at your house! Love that your dad and mom are so willing to help an animal in need. Sorry, but I'm still laughing over the whistle for the cat treats...I can just see all the cats screeching to a halt to puff up at the dog! LOL
ReplyDeleteMY WORD! How TRAUMATIC! Kitties...I will take you in until you feel less un-nerved. Um..the house is a little small but Mom won't mind everyone on the bed.
ReplyDeleteOMC! We're surprised that your humans would do such a thing! Now there are dog cooties in the katnip lounge!
ReplyDeleteMom has brought a few woofies into the house and we were not at all happy. Glad your dad found his owner.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a story! We're very glad the woofie found his people again!
ReplyDeleteMOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never a dull moment at your house, for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your daddy found his home, although we do admit he was a pretty cute little fella, and he might have fit in fine with y'all after a while.
xxxxxxxxxxxx
Oh my goodness - that treat whistle was just plain low! We're actually surprised that dog escaped alive, with 12 vicious felines guarding their territory!! Maybe your daddy will give you treats, because you're right - Mommy cannot be trusted.
ReplyDeleteWhooaaaa! That sure was a BIG event! I'm so glad your Daddy found the woofie's person and that he is home safe and sound. Your daddy's a real gem for bringing woofie home to keep him safe while he looked for his person.
ReplyDeleteCan't say it was nice of your Mummy for playing that dirty trick on all of you though I can imagine how funny it must have looked with all of you puffed up to 47 times your size (wish there were photos of that!)! LOL!
MOL!!! I bet that woofie was terrified when he saw all 12 of you coming at him!!! I'm glad they found his hooman!!!
ReplyDeleteUm, we kinda feel sorry fur da little woofer. It musta been a scary egzpeeriance fur him wif alla yoo guys puffed like dat. We commend yoor beins fur helping da woofy and amember, if dey weren't da way dey is yoo prolly wouldn't haf a nice furever home either. Know what we don't like, da woofies in dis nayborhood feel free to walk into OUR house whenever da door is open. We keep telling dad "don't leave da dang door open" but he don't lissen to us! Good thing Zippy knows all da woofers.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute woofie; glad your parents found his family...We've missed you guys, hope all is well...kisses x3...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteGASP! How awful! Hoomins are very tricksy sometimes, you'd better watch them both carefully.
ReplyDeleteHey, your mommy disappeared from your top photo! You guyz have so many things to play on and your all sleeping!!!! One of Mommies past woofies was a lost/dumped Shih Tzu. Mom notified every place she could but no one could help.......this poor girl was abused...her back was injured in the past so Mommy had to take Maxie for shots every few weeks....yes, she kept her!=^Y^=
ReplyDeleteHoly cats!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad the little woofie was reunited with his person, and that your dad picked him up so he wouldn't get runned over or kidnapped or something. He's awesome.
Now on the other paw, your so-called mom............
Oh my gosh -- what excitement!! New and different smells are always a little scary...especially when they are attached to a woofie!
ReplyDeleteWe are having a special post tomorrow (Oct. 7) about Mommy's first baby, Nikki; hope you can visit...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteOMC! That must have been the biggest shock ever.It must have been a tight fit in your lounge with 12 of you being 47 times your usual size. That woofie must have been glad when his person came for him.
ReplyDeleteHoly Smokes that was a rotten trick your Mom did! But just think, there are way more of you than there were of him.....and we bet some of you are larger than that little woofie. Thank goodness his owner was found.
ReplyDeleteOh that was Not Nice of your Mommy. And we think your Daddy should be grounded for a while....yup, take his car keys while he's sleepin' and hide them GOOD!
ReplyDeleteAwww, we're not all bad!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Yikes!!!!!!!! We would puff up 47 times our size too :o !!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood thing your Dad found the woofie's home!!!!!!
Purrs Mickey,Georgia & Tillie
YoW! You kitties really dodged a bullet. We thought we were going to read about a new lounge resident of the woofie persuasion! Glad your dad helped the pupster to find his home. We must admit we are snickering (ever so slightly) at the trick your mom played on you all...sorry...aherm...not nice, Momcat!
ReplyDelete-Pip, Smidgen, Minnie
Whoa! For a second there, we thought maybe that woofie was gonna stay at your house like forever!! Man, we're glad your dad found that woofie's human. And your mom deserves the back of disrespect from all of you!!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, scary!!!! What brave kitties you are.
ReplyDeleteGlad the woofie's people were found but we thinks you would enjoy a full time woofie. You can blame him for everything.
ReplyDelete(sigh) we just has to make sure not to leave paw evidence as our woofie has just huge paws it is easy for Mommy to argue the itty bitty kitty paws has to belong to a CAT and not Fenris.
