Kitties!
The Baby here.
Do you remember a post I did a while back about the Lime Lemon Tree?
(If you missed it, you can read about it HERE)
Well, Mommy and Daddy wised up and waited this year for the Lemons to ripen, and look!
Ripe lemons!
Time for pasta with fresh lemon caper sauce, fresh lemon buttered fish, lemon zest scones...you get the idea.
The Oranges are coming in too! The freezy weather in December was hard on the Orange tree, but it pulled through and the fruit is ripening up. We picked the first one today.
Today it was 65F and sunny in our back yard. The warmth felt wonderful on my furs.
I had a sun-n-tongue bath.
We all had fun out on the Catio...Daddy put out some bird seed and we chittered at birdies all day!
Pictures tomorrow...
Happy Thursday!

ReplyDeleteHow very excellent! Now you can have lemonade too!
ReplyDeleteYay, things are warming up for you! For us too - I think it was near 70 today with lots of sun. We were all happy, including my human.
ReplyDeleteOur lemon tree is a bit slow so we have been getting lemons from our neighbor's tree. It pokes through the fence at just the right angle. We are supposed to have some warm weather this weekend, yay!
ReplyDeleteMy mom love lemon tart : )
ReplyDeleteand thank you the Baby to take us a tour with warm beautiful day : )

PS : My mom said she love the last photo. Beautiful light made beautiful photo : )
I have a lemon tree, a lime tree and an orange tree in my backyard. None of them have fruit yet!
ReplyDeleteMost of us in the northern hemisphere can't post much about our gardens these days, so you guys are lucky! Lemons and oranges: how superb.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Yoo get to pick yoor own lemns and oranges? How cool is that? We are srsly impressed!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't know yoor mommy had her own blog ~ we're heading over there right now for a look!
We can't believe you have a lemon. Our lemon/lime tree never produces fruit. We are sure it is Mommy's fault somehow.
ReplyDeleteWe can't believe you have a lemon tree (and orange tree), either. But that's because we can't fathom living somewhere WARM enough for them! Especially in January! The mom bets fresh lemon is ever so much better than the lemon from our grocery stores (which were probably picked weeks and weeks earlier).
ReplyDeleteThe Baby...seeing the sun come through your translucent pink and beautiful ears...Spitty will just swoon!
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! Look at those fresh ripe and gorgeous lemons!!!!!! Wow!!! Me and Charlie hope you all enjoy your lemon scented day today!! Yay!! And yay for the oranges too!!
ReplyDeleteAwww the Baby - you are just perfect!! Take care

I love the first picture of you...what a great pose.
ReplyDeleteYou have lemon trees in your back yard..oh my word. The gastronomical delights you are making with fresh lemons left Mom hungry.

ReplyDeleteThat is awesome baby! Real live lemons from your very own tree! I think you deserve a special award as a Garden Society member, just for giving us all hope of things to come. Not that I can grow lemons here in the Pacific NW...but mom could buy me a heated greenhouse. She really could.

i don't think it's ever going to again be warm where we live.
ReplyDeleteOh Baby I am so jealous. My house is freezing with no hot weather to be seen. And certainly no birds. Sigh
ReplyDeleteM is drooling over your fresh lemons and oranges. Yummmmmm.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to have fresh oranges and lemons in the garden - have you been counting them Baby to make sure none are missing.
ReplyDeleteWow. warm weather. You guys are so lucky . Of course here in the Midwest were I live we are still in the deep freeze, and up to my butt in snow. So all I can do is train for the 2011 indoor catlympics (well I would if they had some) and I have gotten pretty fast at runny through my tunnel and across the house into my cube.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Genghis
Our Mom is so jealous that you have real lemons and oranges too. That is too great. We think the lemon pie sounds like a great idea. Good pictures of you Baby. Take care and have a great day.
ReplyDeleteLemony goodness!
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing with the harness, Baby?
Those lemons look good -- for People that is.
ReplyDeleteI prefer mice, and as a last resort, Dry food.

ReplyDeleteWe are glad your lemons and oranges made it though the cold weather. I bet your Mom and Dad can come up with good ideas on how to use both!

Lemons are my favorite!! Your people are so lucky that they get to have all those wonderful fresh ones!
ReplyDeleteThose look like jolly good lemons! I bet it was all your hard work Baby!
ReplyDeleteMy mom started laughing again when she remembered the limes-that-were-not-limes story! We're glad that they make much better lemons than limes. Enjoy your nice weather!!!
ReplyDeleteOh how envious I am! My potted lemon was in fact stolen last fall and I have yet to catch the thief-since I'm so busy with everyone else's mysteries I hardly have time for my own! I hope you enjoy a hot toddy with those...
ReplyDeleteYour lemons look lovely. Chittering at birds is good fun.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, WHAT A TREAT to grow lemons and oranges (wish we could).
ReplyDeleteBut let me say this about Tuesday's post - I was laughing all throughout. Sounds about like a day around here. Starts early, Lots of feeding.
Those lemons look really good Baby and so does that sunshine! We hope you enjoy your Birdie TV in the warm sun!
ReplyDeleteWe bet a lemon would be fun to whap around the catio!!
ReplyDeleteLemons? We can't hardly grow Pansies here (well inside, come and look).
ReplyDeleteBut, But, But, 65 degrees? We cant stand it. It is below freezing for weeks and we got 30 MPH winds here! If I go out my EARS will fall off dead!
Iza
