A Cat, a Grape, a Bowl.

Kitties!

Felix here, with some photos of me from the archives.

One day, Daddy offered me a Grape.

Not wanting to share the Grape, I checked around to make sure I was alone.

I approached the Grape carefully.

I touched it.

I tasted it's grapey Grapeness.

And I was Unimpressed.

Kitties, do you know what else Unimpresses me?
The fact that Mommy has been LAME with helping us comment for the past five weeks.

That will all end this upcoming Friday.
Or Else.

Happy Monday!

XX  Felix

  1. Looks like the grape would be more fun to play with than eat! It takes a lot of time to make lots of comments - we get behind too. It's OK!

  2. I know what you mean. My mommy has been unimpressive for quite a while now and I'm tired of it.
That grape looks fun to smash with my paws. But I'd still prefer tasting goldfish crackers. nom nom

  3. fun to whap, but they can get sticky!

  4. Part of my human's job description is helping me visit all your blogs. She claims it is giving her a crick in her neck. Of course, that is a total lie. Binga lying on her at night is doing it.

  5. Felix...you must tell your mommy that she does such a wonderful job of posting (great photos and comments) that she has more than earned a wee bit of rest now..and please tell the other furries to take good care of her when she comes back from her visit to the "human vet"!

  6. I am never impressed with my human's lack of effectiveness...

  7. Maybe if the grape was out of the bowl so you could whap it across the room it might be a little more fun! Our mommy sometimes puts other things like work and stuff in front of helping us comment. If she didn't treat us so well we'd have to hire a new pawsistant.

  8. Now you listen here Mr. Felix. I won't be hearin a bad word against yer mum. She's gotz lots on her mind right about now. If yer bowls full & box is empty consider yerself lucky!

  10. Eh, we'z not impressed wif grapes either. 'Cept, if yoo put it unner da stove yoor mom finds it months later and suddenly it's turned into a raisin, a really hard, gross, kinda fuzzy raisin. Hey, our mom don't effun haf a job and she does a lousy job of visiting and commenting fur us.

  11. I hear tell grapes are b-a-d for the kittehs!

I think it's prolly a good thing you did not want to eat that grape Felix. Much better to bat it around till it gets all disgusting and someHuman steps on it, and slips, and falls down in a really ridiculous position! And that's what a grape is really good for!

Your Mommy is the best ever. Still, I understand. It's a good thing you don't live with MY Human. Then you'd know what real neglect of duty feels like.

  12. I think ome of the others have already given you the best advice: whap it under the stove or fridge and let it ferment a while.
Give your Mom a break regarding commenting. She seems to be doing pretty well, I think. After all, taking care of all the needs of 13 of you is a LOT!

  13. Step away from the grape - they are not good for us. Unless we want to play. Or put them where humans will tread on them, in bare feet.
And as for comments - well Äiti is pants at it too so don't feel bad about your Mom!

  14. Oh ::twitch:: Small round fruit! Let me whap it!!!! Fun fun fun!!!!

  15. We have also been unimpressed by all forms of fruits and veggies. We just don't get the attraction.

  16. Grapes? He's making fun of you sweetie. Demand some nice treats for teasing you.

Thanks for your kind words of encouragement. Au is eating a little several times a day so I'm crossing paws he's getting better. I'm bringing him lunch in bed - something he likes.

  17. A Grape look like a little ball but may be it's not fun because it's so soft and juicy. And it's not good for us

But Felix, How about do GRAPE STOMP : )
    QwickStep !...Stomp !!! Stomp !!! Stomp !!!
Make some red wine : )

Have a great Monday to you and your family

  22. We do not enjoy grapes, either. Yuck!

  23. We think the grape would be more fun to play with too! Eating? Not so much.

Annie sends a soft hiss....She's still not well, not really eating now that Friday's appetite stimulant has worn off, and she seems nauseous. The mom is waiting for Friday's tests to come back, hoping it's not pancreatitis. Maybe a few hisses for her, Felix, would be helpful!

  24. Felix, I've never tried grapes before. They don't look very tasty though. Some human food is really good! Have you tried Greek yogurt? How about peanuts? YUM!

  26. We'd love to whap some grapes around but mum stuffs them in her mouth far too quick for that to happen. Sigh.

  27. If you squash it you will get vino. FAZ

  28. Felix if you cannot play with your food it is no fun. However, I like you, do not waste a lot of time of food that is 'good' for me.

Be kind to Mom she is the one who feeds you early in the morning.

  31. Moms kitty when she was growing up loved not to eat them but to bat them all over the kitchen floor.
Then he'd walk away from it and it would sit there until mom or grandma would step on it & go "eewww".
Yep. Grapes can be fun if you let them.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well grapes are fun to roll but they aren't much of a kitty delicacy. Still, better to try a new thing than pass it by! : )

  33. Felix, be easy on mommy..she has a lot to do and things to plan. She's there to be your purrsonal heat box at night in the beddy, MOL.

  36. grapes and inadequate support! Whatever next! Love Darcy, Bingley and Helen xxx

  37. Hoomins are just like that. Lazy. If we don't keep on them all the time...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Silly Daddy giving you a grape. Just what it right out of that bowl and see where you can hide it, maybe under the stove or fridge.
We are not the least big worried about Mom Trish not commenting. She has a lot on her mind and will soon be back to normal. We sure forgive her. Hugs to all and have a great day.

  39. I like to wap a grape all over the house, its good fun untill it squishes. Mum says she understands how mum feels and it wont be long now. Mum goes in for her operation on the 23rd. Hugs GJ x

  41. Oooo....that grape looks just like those tomatoes I love so much! Slightly different colour, sure, but same "swatable" shape!

Good luck with getting your humanoid to write you better comments - maybe she just needs a bit more training?!

  43. One day Mom found that grapes are the purrfect toy for rolling up and down the hallway. She threw one grapes lots of time and watch Ping go back and forth chasing it. We never did try to eat it, just catch it.

  45. Oh my gosh the expression on Felix's face is priceless!!! Molly used to go insane for grapes...no other human food, just grapes :-)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Uh, Felix, I don't blame you man! At least if it was Num-Nums or something...instead of a grape. But did you try batting it around?

    ReplyDelete
  47. We would probably be unimpressed with a grape too. It doesn't look tasty.
Haha! Word verification is telling us what to do with a grape. It says rollem

  48. Oh Felix, that was so cute. Purrhaps next time your mom will put Temptations in the bowl for you?

  52. My grandfather Mews had a thing for grapes and graham crackers-but then again he was a little off his rocker in his dotage...

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't blame yew fur not likin the grape. All fruits taste icky but cookies now that is a total different thing!

  54. Felix, you could have played with it, hidden it somewhere and then weeks later it would have been totally transformed!

  55. OMC I got scared when I first saw this cause grapes are highly poisonous to kitties!!!!
Whew!! I am soooo glad you were smart and didn't want it!
