Maui here.


Our fun friend Fin from Housecat Confidential is doing a "House of Horrors" week and we decided to show all y'all a daily horror we endure here at the Katnip Lounge.


Here you see Mommy performing one of her vital functions, cleaning our litter box pool(s).
Behind her you can see ME performing a vital function, as well.

Box cleaning might be distasteful, but it isn't scary--at least for Cats.  No, this is the

    I don't get that view - I make myself scarce when my human is taking care of my litter box. But trust me, once it's down, I examine it thoroughly to see if the job has been done properly. Unless Binga gets to it first... and uses it.

    Oh, you are too funny, Maui! Who put that "Wide Load" sign on your Mom's butt? So she isn't a Size 2, she's still certainly well within the norm (unlike some other Mommies, me included).

    I'm sure the cleaning of the kitty litter pool is more of a horror for your poor Mom than for any of you cats.

    I think you're all spoiled, because there's nothing really horrific at your place! Well, maybe the remains of partially-eaten lizards, but then that just looks like food to you guys!
