Kitties!
The Baby here.
As you can see, I'm in the garden window, NOT in the garden. Apparently, I'm still Not To Be Trusted outside.
So once again, I sent Daddy outside to take some pictures for y'all, under my instructions, of course.
This is our bottlebrush plant. Daddy is going to prune it to grow into a tree. It's been REALLY windy here, so the blooms look a little blurry.
Here's a closer look. The yellow balls on the tips of the red spiky things are pollen for bees and flutterbys and MOTHS!
These are some pretty daisies in the front yard--Mommy needs to get off her bum and do some deadheading.
In the back yard there are these pretty plants, does anybody know what they are?
Nobody here does, either!
I call 'em "Magic Purple Lizard Buffets" because lizards often are slaughtered by my Paw of Doom hide under them.
The Star Jasmine is in bloom! The whole Catio smells wonderful. Daddy gave it a crew-cut last fall and now it has lots of new growth. Do you see it creeping along the trellis? Pretty soon it will shade this corner and keep our Little Outside area nice and cool in the summertime.
That's all for today, kitties. Good job, Daddy.
Come on back tomorrow--Henry is doing a guest post!
Now, I must nap.

That's a beautiful garden, all designed to attract fun and games and slaughter. We are very envious. What's your plan to gain trust and then be allowed out to cause carnage ?
ReplyDeleteI love to see you, Baby. Very pretty garden. We don't have too many flowers yet but the pansies are everywhere. Love those daisies.
ReplyDeleteYour daddy did do a very good job of showing off your garden The Baby! You have a very pretty yard! We've seen those purple plants before but don't know what they're called. We like the name you gave them. Anyway enjoy your nap!
ReplyDeleteI like the bottlebrush plant. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI have SEEN that purple flower, but I can't remember the name of it. I'll try to do a bit of searching tomorrow if no one has identified it by then. And the name may come to me while I sleep.
ReplyDeleteThe Big Thing
Napping looks wonderful. My first guess is that the magic purple plants look like a variety of salvia. Second guess would be catmint.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great tour of your garden - I especially liked that bottle brush flower - it weirdly cool.
ReplyDeleteDaddy you did a Great job taking pictures.
Purrs,
Genghis
Your daddy is an expert gardner. Flowers are so pretty and look so well cared for.
ReplyDeleteoh, Baby, you are so lucky to have such a beautiful garden to look out onto. Poor Harley looks out onto a patch of very very very dead grass and a whole bunch of weeds! My family's not really into gardening. We have a bottle brush but it never flowers anymore :(
ReplyDeleteyou look so happy, chilling on that window ledge! Keep up the good instructions :)
We love your garden very pretty : ) Hopefully soon you will be able to go out there and explore and have lots of fun : )
ReplyDeleteVery purrty The Baby. We like yoor name fur dat purple plant but our mom sez it looks like blue sage or purple salvia. Some of da salvia is related to lavender and is aromatic, dat is a fancy way of saying smelly, in a good way.
ReplyDeleteThere is lots of great stuff going on in your garden! But I think you need some extra Magic Purple Lizard Buffet plants - the more lizards, the better!
ReplyDeleteIt is always great to see the different things growing in your garden. Lots of nice different colors.
ReplyDeleteYour daddy did very well taking pictures of your beautiful garden. We enjoyed seeing the gorgeous flowers. Enjoy your nap. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful garden you have to look at. That bottle brush plant is absolutely gorgous. Enjoy looking at those wonderful flowers :)xx
ReplyDeleteGood morning The Baby! Wot a wonderful garden tour! We love that bottle brush plant ~ it's gorjuss. But our absolute fave is the Magic Purple Lizard Buffet plant! MOL!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely garden! That bottlebrush plant is very cool...we see how it got its name. We've never seen one before!
ReplyDeleteWe'd like a lizard buffet in our garden too! :-D
-Fuzzy Tales
Enjoy that nap, Baby. These are very beautiful flowers you get to watch over. Thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteBaby you have made that garden look beautiful with a little help from your daddy. It's a good thing he does the labouring for you as it gives you more time to decide what he should get busy with next!
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Those plants are terrific. Mom is excited to know that someone else doesn't have a clue what the names of the plants are. Who cares as long as they are pretty. Good job Baby with the instructions to the Dad. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get that all in before your nap.
ReplyDeleteBaby dear,
ReplyDeleteI looove your garden. I can't for my Mama to start gardening again. I think that purple flower is a type of lavender...or some kind of mint. But I agree the name you gave is very appropriate. purrr....meow!
We are very interested in your Daddy pruning the Bottlebrush into a tree. We are growing ours as a shrub but youngest boy bean wanted the tree, they had at the nusery. The tree was $200 and the shrub was $20 so her cheapness known as our Mother opted for the cheaper of the two. Anyway, we are going to keep a close eye on the prunning and if we thinks we can duplicate your results we will send Mommy to get another one to prune into a tree for the youngest boy bean.
ReplyDeleteOOoh are the purple flowers veronica speedwells?
ReplyDeleteThey are very pretty anyway - and you have a better name for it too, gorgeous The Baby!
Me and Charlie are in AWE at your BEAUTIFUL garden!! Look at your gorgeous bottlebrush, daisies and aromatic jasmine!! Yay!! Enjoy your nap!!!
Oooh we are looking forward to Henry's post tomorrow (yay!!) Take care
x
Nap in the sun for us to huh?? We wish we had a nice yard and catio like that, but then again with her black thumb, mom would most likely kill all the plants anyhow. MOL
ReplyDeleteOooh we can just imagine how good the jasmine would smell! Delicious! The bottle brush is so cool. We have some of those too :)
ReplyDeleteThose purple plants are called Russian sage. They are pretty common here, and can be quite large.
ReplyDeleteFirst things first....
ReplyDeleteThe Baby your whiteness is dazzling!!!
The desert is so lovely when it blooms! Those flowers and flowering what-cha-ma-call-its are gorgeous!
The lizard buffets are especially purrty!
I do believe your mystery purple plants are May Night Salvia...or at least they look an awful lot like it. Don't take my word on it...I'm a newby gardener and don't know much about anything. :)
ReplyDeleteNice napping spot! I also like to nap under the sun :).
ReplyDeleteYou got a really pawsome garden! so pretty! Purrs!
Bonjour dear friends,
ReplyDeleteYour garden is really special full of lovely flowers and I'm enchanted by these pictures!
Paws up!
*** my mommy and dad were out visiting Italy, and today I'm trying to catch up with blog friends!
purrs and always love to you all
Luna- WE LOVE LUNA and hugs from my mommy Léia

Thanks for such a great tour Baby, it's so nice to enjoy others pretty gardens!
ReplyDeleteNapping is very important.
ReplyDeleteThe garden tour was very nice, of course, but the true treat were those exciting full-body shots of you, The Baby. They made my little kitteh heart go all pitty-pat. I wish there was enough above-the-sink space for a guest.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly, we saw your mystery plant in a garden department advertisment just now and looked it up! It is a Salvia nemorosa, and it appears to be the variety Blue Hill (though some others look similar). You can read about it here: http://www.bluestoneperennials.com/b/bp/SABHS.html
ReplyDeleteThe Baby, theese was a great tour, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Hey, I thinks you'z onto something here...you gets to relax in the window, your Dad does all the work for you and you get all the glory! Sounds good to me.
ReplyDeleteI think the mystery plant is Catmint. The leaves are wrong for Russian Sage and the flowers are wrong for Veronica.
ReplyDeletePerhaps lizards are like cats in that they like Catmint?
Nice garden Baby! We especially like the bottle brush plant, and you in the sunny window.
ReplyDelete" Magic Purple Lizard Buffets " sound good to me !
ReplyDeleteI would like to have this plant in my garden ! Sound like increase more snacks...YUM
Thanks The Baby ! That's awesome tour
xoxo
We love the smell of star jasmine! When my Mommeh was a little girl, there was a bottle brush plant in the back yard and it got to be huge!
ReplyDeleteBoth you and the garden are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour of your pretty garden.
ReplyDeleteWe have a bottle brush plant in our yard too! The hummers really like it! And we really like the hummers...'cept only we're not trusted to be outside either...
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
Wonderful garden tour Baby and dad did a super job with the pics. We did a garden post today too!
ReplyDeleteBaby, your garden is looking so good! That Bottlebrush plant is really cool! We've never seen anything like that! And mom thinks the purple plant could be some type of saliva. They are annuals here.
ReplyDeleteLovely tour! You is a true Sheba of the Egypt (excepting that you're white)

Such beautiful flowers..I especially love the bottle brush ones..so cool! I hope you had a nice nap, Baby!
ReplyDeletelovely garden u have there. wish we could give u a visit!!!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
BoBo Salem & ChaCha
Sorry for stopping by so late Baby. Mom is going back to her childhood looking at your bottlebrush since she had 2 of them in her front yard when she grew up. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteWe always enjoy your tours! Do Hummingbirds ever come to the red flowers? We have purple flower-bushes like yours. The ones we've seen are Butterfly Bushes, probably because Butterflies are attracted to them... unfortunately, so are Goats, so we do not have any.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday,
~ The Bunch
Thank you for the tour Baby. I love the bottlebrush plant. Never seen one before.
