Kitties!
Our new Cat Tree came!
You guys suggested we get one to add more vertical space and help May Ling and Sweet Pea get along and not pee/spray inappropriately.
While Felix was checking out the upper perches, Maui strolled up to try out the lower house.
Salem hopped up for a preliminary assessment, too.
Maui left, and everything was copacetic...
...until Sylvester arrived.
Sylvester and Felix do not get along. They "play" the Creeping Game, following each other around, stalking, and weirding each other out.
Most of the time it's pretty tame.
But not this time!
They took the argument out to the catio...
...where things got out of hand and they actually FOUGHT!
There was fur flying and lots and LOTS of Cat Swearing.
Mommy had to squirt them with the Dreaded Water Bottle to break it up and they got time outs in separate rooms. Daddy calmed them down and checked 'em out...neither one appears to be hurt.
But somecat sprayed the new Cat Tree last night!
*sigh*
It's always something.
At least Sweet Pea and May Ling's antipathy has simmered down, the medicine has helped Sweet Pea's anxiety so May Ling is happier too. (Mommy says Thank Cod for pill pockets!) The three new boxes are getting lots of use, and we're all enjoying the extra play time. So three paws forward and one paw back...
It's a good thing Mommy and Daddy love us, or it would be the sausage factory for sure--or so they say.
Scouty says more like the Stew Pot.
Happy Friday!

Someone is always trying to ruin the party eh? I'm glad you got that cool new cat tree. Your folks are devoted!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool new cat tree! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI sorry u has fite. {{{love}}}
ReplyDeleteI hope they make a climbing tree for dogs! I would like that. :)
Ah! Is not life grand? If its not one cat, its another.
ReplyDeleteSending calming thoughts.
Nellie
New cat trees can make kitties crazy - it happened at our house when my human got us our cat tree for Christmas many years ago. Binga tried to claim it as hers and hers alone and chased everyone away from it! My human had to lock her up so I could put my scent on it... after which she calmed down.
ReplyDeletewell ... hitting the tree is a little better than the wall or carpet, right?
ReplyDeleteThat is one pawsome cat tree. The mom loves cats, but some of our behavior just drives her crazypants. Peeing & fighting top the list! Julie & Mica Moo do the same thing as Felix & Sylvester. She calls it "picking at the scab". Things will never heal between them because they just keep picking at the scab! We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteGreat new tree! Sadly, Mommy is sittin in her easy chair that was recently peed. We dunno who did it! It wasn't us kittehz! MOL!
ReplyDeleteWe is glad sumthin is workin fur Sweet Pea. We'll keep purrin fur you. xoxo
We haz that same tree! Your cats are small mom Trish! Ms. Jenga barely fits in those top 'beds'. I think the fighting & marking on the tree is only to be expected when something new comes into the territory. There's all that sorting out of who's it is, who gets to use it and when, etc. AND who gets to be 'Top Cat'. They will work it out things should return to norman. MOL!

Awesome tree! I wish Mama would get us more trees, one for each maybe. Someone wrote about cleaning the wee wee spots with apple cider. Perhaps mom Trish can check it out. purrr...meow!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is one fancy tree folks. Purrs for peace between Sweet Pea and May Ling.
ReplyDeleteWe stalk each other and weird each other out too. IN fact, we did that this evening right after the people went to bed, puffed tails and all. Now Mum is awake again.
ReplyDeleteWe want her to get us a tree JUST LIKE YOURS!
That tree is something! Austin wants one. I told him that for one cat that was ridiculous and anyway he has the bookcase!
ReplyDeleteTell Sylvester and Felix that cat sausages are very tasty!!!
That is a totally awesome new cat tree!!!
ReplyDeleteNaughty Sylvester and Felix!
You're right. You have GREAT parents and it sounds like they have done A LOT to make things even better for you, so time to say thank you. No fighting!!!
Purrs,
The Chans
That is one beautiful cat tree! Yay! Your mum and dad are truly THE BESTEST!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww lovely Felix and adorable Sylvester!! Me and Charlie hope you are both now calmed down and are enjoying your new tree - separately! :-) Take care
x
Wow, what a wonderful tree!
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome cat tree. I hope my darling CC gets a turn at the top.
ReplyDeleteha ha - sorry for laughing, but sometimes cat moms just can't win - no matter how hard they try.
ReplyDeleteha ha - sorry for laughing, but sometimes cat moms just can't win - no matter how hard they try.
ReplyDeleteI love the new cat tree. As for the cat behavior - the little hooligans! Ya just have to love them.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to hear that Sweet Pea is feeling a bit better on her meds. You kitties have brilliant parents, you are very lucky.
ReplyDeleteThat kitty tree is seriously awesome. We're envious of all the great deals (and decent shipping charges) you have in the States.
ReplyDeleteWith so many kitties, we can't imagine everyone will be calm, and we're sorry the new cat tree got sprayed. Ugh. But at least Sweet Pea is going well--that's something.
Purrs and kitty kisses to you all!
I love that new cat tree. I think the boys should have one. It would go with their eyes.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
pawhugs, Max
I hope the calm pays you a visit very soon.
ReplyDeleteExcellent tree - maybe if we peed more she'd buy us one. OOps- maybe not a good idea as there's too much peemailing already. And the wooden floors are suffering....... Äiti dosen't know what to do.
ReplyDeleteWe hope the fighting didn't recur - it's great to play and have fun but there's a point where it gets serious. ANd that's not fun.
How disheartening it must have been to find the tree got sprayed in the night. We wish you could hit upon the answer to that, you've tried so much already. Glad the meds are helping anyway.
ReplyDeleteFelix & Sylvester! You naughty boys! You got what you deserved with that time out and lets not have any more catfights now, ya hear?!
When I defuzz the cat towers at the no- kill shelter, I spray them down with a fine mist of Nature's Miracle. It helps nip the spraying routine. My assigned building is a Feline AIDS building--all males except one lonely female!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome new cat tree! Too bad it's already been sprayed. This is definitely a territorial issue.
ReplyDeleteHave you thought of using calming collars? They really work.
It's me again! I forgot to mention that your stacked kitties are on the LOLSpot, doing what they do best.
ReplyDeleteFur flying cat fight is the name of my new hip hop band.
ReplyDeleteThat all sounds a lot like our house. That new cat tree is really something. We like that one. You boys need to quit the fighting. But it happens. It happens way too often around here. We have Lucky on that composure and it seems to be working for him. He is less aggressive.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
What an PAWSOME cat tree! Hey Felix and Sylvester, CHILL OUT! There's plenty of tree for all of you! As for the pee, SIGH. Poor Mom.
ReplyDeleteOh noes! That's such a pawesome new cat tree but it doesn't need to be fertilized doods! We hope Sylvester and Felix got that bad fighting out of their system and don't do it again. We're glad that Sweet Pea and May Ling are doing better and that everykitty is using the new boxes. Paws crossed the spraying stops!
ReplyDeleteThat is a really awesome new cat condo. It looks like everyone was having a good time on it. I suppose it's only to be expected that in a house with that many felines, there will be tussles now and then. Actual fighting would be scary though. I'm glad no one got hurt.
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is a pawsome cat tree! And despite our blessings, it is always something.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very cool cat tree. You felines are not unlike us goats except you don't have horns
ReplyDeleteto quote Daisy, Rats! We hope the new situation will calm down when the tree novelty wears off. That is one cool cat tree!
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
You've got great cat tree! I love the color. Sounds like Sylvester and Felix had a big fight. Sometimes my boys fight and I see fur flying, too. I have to break the fight. Glad they were not hurt.
ReplyDeleteIt's already been sprayed...but I hope everyone will enjoy the new cat tree :-)
That is a cool new tree! I love the blue. Too bad it's already been sprayed, but I hope things will calm down soon!
ReplyDeleteOMC that is one Cadillac tree...
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is amazing. We are sorry to hear it did not solve the spraying issues....goodness we will purr you find a suitable solution.
Hugs Madi and Mom
Wow what an amazing cat tree, you guys don't do anything half way do you? Sorry to hear a fight AND a midnight marking went on.
ReplyDeleteGreat new tree you got there you little hooligans :)
ReplyDeleteGreat new tree! Sorry someone sprayed it! Keeping paws crossed that peace will soon reign!
ReplyDeleteAw, come on guys!! Be nice. <-(that is Mom talking...not us.. we do the same thing and get big tails and everything. We hope you all can work things out, and so sorry about the spraying. We do that, too! Let's all try to be better.. Santa Paws is probably watching!) Mom sends (((Hugs))) to your Mommy and Daddy.
ReplyDelete~ The Bunch
Oh Felix! Look at your big poofy tail! The new cat tree looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteNow that is one DE-luxe cat tree! Sorry it got a little bit dirty already.
ReplyDeletecool new tree - too bad someone decided to deface it already. :)
ReplyDeleteFelix - you need that poor Sylvester alone!!!
that cat tree is definitely the Rolls Royce of cat trees! WOW!
ReplyDeletethat fight looked pretty scary! With as many cats as you have it is a miracle they all get along as well as they do!
Wow a huge cat tree. Hope the sibling issues work themselves out someday.
ReplyDeleteFunny how some of the kitties immediately took a seat on the new deluxe cat tree. They seemed to really like it. Sorry 'bout the fight and the defacing.
ReplyDeleteSending warm wishes to you. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Oh dear...oh dear
ReplyDeletecalm down everyone!!!
purrs

Felix, Sylvester: You're sposed to be trashin' MY house, guys--not yours! Ha ha ha. Chill out over there! Hmmmmm, wonder whichkitty peed??? Poor Mommy and Daddy (Say, I hope it wasn't Daddy who let loose on the new tower!)
ReplyDeleteWe love that big cat tree. We really hope that everyone can get along soon.
ReplyDeleteTruffle and Brulee
Gosh guys.....who wouldn't want to be the sole driver of that race car of a cat tree! New stuff always needs a bit of roughin up...not to worry :p This too shall pass...
ReplyDeletethe critters in The Cottage xo
Oh man, we know the feeling. Every time we think we're making a little progress with Wally and Zoey, something happens that throws a monkey wrench in the works.
ReplyDeleteWe love the new cat tree!!
We know how it is...seems there's always something happening here...usually with Figaro or Ginger in the middle of it! Us girls and Nigel just want peace and quiet!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a pawsome cat tree.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous cat tree! We kitties want one too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous house!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Mom will be able to collect lots of furs by brushing the house. Maybe she'll make herself a scarf with the knitting needles.
Mandu
Gosh that is a fabulous cat tree! Oh you kitties are lucky. Have fun - no more fighting!
