Ingredients
Chicken, Brown Rice, Ground Barley, Tapioca, Vegetable Glycerine, Chicken Meal, Natural Flavor, Molasses, Brewer's Yeast, Fish Oil, Cranberries, Salt, Sodium Bisulfate, Sorbic Acid, Taurine, Citric Acid, Mixed Tocopherols, Rosemary.

Kitties, the results were mixed.  The chicken-eaters at the Lounge gobbled the TidNips right up, and the rest of us were a little "meh" about them.  In our opinion they would be much more appealing in a seafood flavor; and we notice that the dog treats have a salmon variety that might be tastier to the rest of the crew.

This is the tally:
We LOVED the TidNips:  John, Maui, Sylvester, The Baby, Salem and Felix

We did not:  Grayce, Sweet Pea, Kona, Rupert, May Ling, Scouty and CC

And if you would like to see our Highly Scientific Taste Test, here is a movie for you!  You'll hear Mommy whistle in it, that's our cue to swarm...

Watch it on YouTube HERE

Sorry about the wobbliness, Mommy says it's hard to film and feed simultaneously.
Cod, she's incompetent.

Thank you to Chewy.com for asking us to try out the Felidae TidNips!

Happy Monday!

  4. We wanted to see more of the 'trouble'! It's pretty clear the treats were not a hit, but the film was ace. We want more of them! And methinks that swarming was more like a gentle stroll. I'll have to get Äiti setting the video for our feeding ime piranha gathering - that'll teach you guys how to swarm!
Mirsku has played the whole film several times adn says there's not wnough May Ling on view - can he have a private vid please?

  7. Since it was a 50/50 we'll have to try it ourselves to get an accurate report!

  8. Oh my gosh... did you really just whistle at the kitties like people do for doggies??? I'm... so in shock! And they came!!! Holy moly! First, shocking that they came when called, second that it was to a doggy whistle! Shocking.. shocking... I need a nap to get over this!

  9. Did the Mommy taste them? Hmm? We think she should have tasted the titty nippies first!

  10. Harry the Farm cat inhaled them. But then again Harry eats mice innards.

  11. I love the video~
I think it's better when you have lots of brothers and sisters around if your mommy wants to let you try new treats.

Before Lego came to my house, whatever my bean brought, I refuse all, she always wants to faint, but now, Lego is here, he always eats everything what my bean gives to him, and it also makes Michico wants to faint too, hahaha~~ He loves stealing lots of food from my bowl~

    Great treat!

  12. This is very interesting to me. Chicken eaters like chicken treats and fish eaters might like fish treats. And, why do some cats prefer chicken over fish? I mean, we don't swim or go fishing. I will be up late pondering these important questions.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm not really big on fish, but I LOVE chicken! I bet I would really enjoy these! (hint, hint... I hope my human is reading this)

  14. Hmmm, that was a very scientific taste test experiment!

  15. What a treat for us to see everyone in a video! We, too were shocked at the doggie whistle but since it's the signal for treat time....it's ok.
Scout came running when he heard the bag rustling too.
Ummm....we heard "tittie nippies" too...just sayin'.

  16. Mom did the same thing here - hid them until SHE was ready. How is that OK? So, don't trade yours in for ours....

Salmon treats...yeah, we could get into that :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I very much enjoyed your video-I
did not understand though why I could hear you guys and hear the bag rustle but when I tried to grab
one from the bag I hit some invisible wall. Very upsetting so I guess I'll have to go beg for one of our blando treats.
We'll keep checking in for more
    information on your taste tests.

  18. HA! We love to try new treats here. Do we eat them? No, but it is always fun until the bag gets opened!

  19. Loved the video. And the whistle for everyone to gather. Only one of us comes for a whistle
Also we wanted to tell all of you that our Person laughed out loud at her comment on our blog about the header and how many cats live at our house. So we thought for Christmas that we should even up the numbers a little bit and some of us will move out there.
    Take care

  20. We think half and half is a decent rating. We are sure we would love them--too bad they don't have turkey (our very favorite)!

    ReplyDelete
  21. OMCs we just read Benny and Lily, from 2 French Bulls, post about their doggie treats. We asked if there were cats treats and here we find them.

Yummy. If you all like them we know they are winners.

  24. We like your honest review. Wally won a package of these treats for a Cat in Boxes contest that Felidae had on Facebook. The mom hasn't opened the package yet...what the heck is she waiting for??...but we're chick-hen lovers so we hope we like these!

    ReplyDelete
  25. This was great! Well, the treats part was interesting but it was really great to see all of you live!!

It was nice of Mr. Chewy to send you those.

  26. I like cranberries and I like some chicken treats. TW liked the grainfree part. I never heard of that brand until very recently.

    ReplyDelete
  27. yoW! How dare your mom hold out on the treats! Sheesh! ...she sounds like our mom... Thanks for the review. THose look like good treats ingredient-wise. We are chick-hen fanatics so we'd proly like them :)

  28. We are all finicky about our foods and treats so we understand.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hahahaha!! Good taste test ;) As Mom is a meanie with the treats, we would all probably snarf them down :)

    Tiger,Treasure,JJ and Julie
PeeEss: Tillie IS a lazy stalker.
When she is in the same room as Julie, she starts rubbing her cheeks on the rug and rolling around the floor. That behaviour must mean something to cats.Mom just shakes her head and says"don't fight" :/

  30. Great review and I hope they take your suggestion about seafood flavor!

    ReplyDelete
  31. That was fun watching you all. I, Flynn, probably wouldn't eat them because I don't like rice or veggies in my food, but if Eric had been there he would have been rushing around inhaling them all.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Quite the scientific study - we thinks Mr. Chewy should go back to the drawing boards and find another flavour for you to test, MOL!

    Sasha, Sami, & Saku

  33. Our mommy wants 13 cats and we want treats so your video was a hit with us! Salem, we're pretending your mommy did not call you Miss Whale!

    ReplyDelete
  34. *cough* Miss...WHALE?
    MOL!

That was almost purrfectly scientific - except you're right - the human needs to practice her feeding-and-filming technique, MOL!

    ReplyDelete
  35. reminds Mom of helping feed a kennel of 50 Siberian huskies!!! MOL keep your fingers out of the way!

Oh Boy...this is gonna be GREAT!
