Our Annual Visitor



Kitties!

The Yellow-Headed Blackbird cruised through last week.

He shows up every year for a few days, and on this occasion we learned something new about him:

His head isn't all that's yellow, his bum feathers are too!

uh oh.

He *may* be a little angry over us revealing his puce-plumaged pooper...

    A yellow bummed bird - now that is a find. Do different coloured feather taste different ? Scientific investigation needed folks!

    Eh - he's still alive?? We forgave you this hairball issue, but only dead birds are good birds!

    We've never seen such a bird, and we're getting curious if we'll see exotic animals when we go abroad on Friday. Mom says no, but we'll keep our eyes open!

    Pretty brave bird to show up where there are so many kitties licking their chops at him! Maybe that's why his bum feathers are changing color! MOL

    He's a natty looking fella. The blackbirds here are just plain boring black. I must check the pooper plumage though to see if there is any flash of colour I may have missed.

    Puce is a red/brown color, but it was excellent alliteration! This is about the most gorgeous bird we have ever seen. We do not have anything like it around here.
