Cooking With Salem

Kitties!

Salem here.
The peeps love to see us in the Loaf position, with our legs all tucked under; for example, Mommy will ask Daddy "What did you do with the cat's legs?" and Daddy will answer "I cut 'em off and ate 'em!" and then they dissolve with laughter.  Well.  What with the never ending threats to turn Scouty into stew I decided that maybe it would be a smart idea to keep my legs in plain view to prevent myself from being turned into an entree.

Thus a full tuck in front, but do you see that back footie peeping?  It'll save me from becoming a feline fricassee, I'm sure.

Although Mommy does say I have such nice plump thighs.
Kitties, I may be in trouble here...

Happy Main Dish Monday!

  2. Well, I'm not so sure about your humans' sense of humor! But then, when we do the all-legs under position, my human calls it the "quadriplegic kitty pose," which is even LESS PC!

  3. We are appalled at these threats. I think you should take a bitey out of a human thigh in revenge.

  5. Ya know... laying like that, with those white leggies of yours, it looks like they already stuck those silly white things that they use on turkey legs on your legs! I think you ARE in trouble!!!!

  6. Maybe you better resume the full loaf so those legs do not get "cut off and eaten" !

Oh, you are such a little cutie, and I love the pinchable white chinny-chin-chin.

  12. Salem, that last photo is quite the doozy! Can't say I've ever seen a kitty sit...er, um...lay like that before! Actually, it reminds me of something...the old haircut called a mullet. "Business in the front, a party in the back" That's you, Salem!
