I don't usually sit in laps, I'm more of a snuggle-up-next-to-you type of kitteh, but Daddy has been on vacation this week and I got a little lonely decided Mommy needed some attention.

I've been working on a new project, which Mommy has been trying to document for ages.

Naturally I do everything I can to foil her plans...but she's nothing if not PURRsistant and she finally captured it:

My matching set of One White Whiskers! (on each side)

For the longest time I only had a One White Whisker on my left-hand side, and a Funny Curly Gray Whisker opposite.  The Funny Curly one fell out around Catmas (Mommy found and saved it) so this time I decided to go all out and grow a Funny Curly WHITE Whisker as a replacement!

It's a work in progress, so far I've only got it about one-third of how long I plan to grow it...I figure a couple more months and it'll be done.

I'll keep you posted--if I decide to allow Mommy any more close ups!

I'm pawticipating in The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfie Blog Hop because today (in the USA) is Mother's Day...and if there's one person I *love*Love*LOVE*, that's My Mommy!

I missed her something fierce when she went away.  Daddy is an adequate substitute for pettings and play, but come bedtime it's My Mommy I want.  Once she's in bed I sprawl out on her chesticles...and I know she loves me 'cos she doesn't grumble much while she holds her book (or magazine or tablet) straight up in the air so I can be cozy.  I get kisses and cuddles and we snuggle together all night long.

Mommy calls me her Most Handsome Gray Man in the House.

That's pretty special!

A Blast from the Past

Today we have a photo of Mommy with our Brother-Who-Came-Before, Chuckles!

Chuck was deaf, stubborn, and he was, according to Mommy, a "Real Stinker".

She loved him to bits.

Except when he launched things off the shelves to test gravity.  And destroyed shoes.  And howled at the top of his lungs.  And stalked his housemates.  Sometimes all of these (and more!) in one day--or in a single hour--Chuckles enjoyed chaos.

OK, maybe Mommy loved Chuck despite his...um...eccentricities.

He claimed it was revenge for the time when Mommy accidentally poked her thumb in his bum-hole introducing him to the mechanics of the cat flap--but that's another story.

Anyway, this photo begs some interesting questions:

When and where was this photo was taken?

Is that Mommy's natural hair color?

Are those ears for real?

Just how bad was her eyesight?

Were Chuck's eyes blue or green?

Was he a snuggler?

Who was he staring down?

and...why don't we have houseplants any more?

Leave us a guess or two!
