Merchandising Monday

Kitties!

This an embarrassing (for her) photo of Mommy.
She's washing out some tie dye, wearing an old shirt of Daddy's, flip flops, and her groovy beanie.  Mommy is such a snappy dresser.

She did make some cool stuff though!
A tie-dyed length of fabric.  This is t-shirt material, and she's gonna sew pillow cases with it.  Daddy can't wait--they will be for him.

Perfecting peace signs.  This is a tea towel--and to be honest Daddy tied this one.  He made a bunch of them in all different colors.

Can you tell where this is going?

Yup.

Tie-dyed PET SHIRTS.
As if fur wasn't enough...
...and in large enough sizes to fit everybody!

Apparently Cats in Shirts are funny (!!!) and Daddy was shaking too hard with laughter to get crisp photos.

But you get the idea.

Cats, in tie dyed shirts.

Daddy had to chase Sylvester and Kona around to get them off after a couple of hours--seems like Felix* isn't the only kitty in the house who enjoys wearing clothes.

Kitties, you too can give your peeps extreme joy by sporting one of these fancy shirts--they are for sale in our Etsy shop Tie Dyed Chicken Jerky, (link also at the top of the page) along with CATIO CHIPS!, and custom tie-dyed apparel for humans.  Oh, and triangle bandannas too--just the thing for accessorizing your furs for that far-out look.  Please click over and have a look, and remember Daddy can pack CATIO CHIPS! in any size; they'll make PURRfect stocking stuffers for all the Good Kitties on Sandy Claw's list.
Oh heck, Bad Kitties will like 'em too...maybe even MORE.

Happy Monday!

Modeling Monday

Kitties!

The Baby here.

As you know, our Daddy has an Etsy store, Tie Dyed Hippy Wear...and it was only a matter of time before he started dying pet clothes...much to our (initial) dismay.

But you know what?  When Daddy told us what these instruments of torture shirts really were, we were totally "LET US AT 'EM", because he calls these sleeveless ribbed tees MOUSE-BEATERS!!!  And you know we are all about beating the mice.

Bibby in Multicolor.
Furthermore, these shirts are pretty comfortable!
I weigh nine pounds (Mommy--Ladycats don't reveal their weight!) and this shirt is size Medium.

It doesn't make my butt look big at all.

Sly, wearing the Blue Leopard pattern.
Sylvester squeezed into a Medium, too...which shows the shirts have plenty of stretch to 'em...because he weighs NINETEEN pounds, ten more than ME!

The Pink Leopard.

I also tried on a Small shirt, which fit me PURRfectly.

Kitties, don't be left behind the fashion curve, steal your peeps plastic and buy your very own Mouse-Beater* shirt today.  Daddy also does custom orders (which take some time) if you have something special in mind...

Happy Cyber Monday!

We're BACK...!!!

 Kitties!

Salem here.

We are back in blogging business, after a squillion years two weeks of vacating!
Mommy is back to work, and not a moment too soon...we were getting pretty tired of her being home all the time, slowly becoming one with the sofa, providing non-stop lappage and scritches.
NOT!

We will allow her to tell you all about our grievous neglect her boring vacation tomorrow.
Today we want to ease back into the swing of things by showing you a couple of cool things Daddy bought on Etsy, one of which was made specially for ME!

See?

Since my Gotcha Day is on Halloween (really!) Daddy thought I'd like something special, and he saw these signs at Moonlight Primitives and knew I needed one.  He's good like that.

This was the original he saw, and ordered a green plaque--after conferring with me, of course.

There are all sorts of fun things to buy!

Of course, some of the other Kats got gifts, too...Daddy likes to spread the love.

This print is titled Cat on the Prowl, and it reminds Mommy of Chuckles, a Whitester she and Daddy had back in Illinois.  Daddy thinks the kitty looks like The Baby.

Daddy's a little OCD and likes to buy things in twos...so he bought a second print (modeled here with Maui) from Art by Nonya:

Friends, Weirdos and Oddballs

KonaKitty thinks the title sums up everybody here at the Lounge pretty succinctly...
::rolling eyes::

Look!  More Halloween!
I can never have enough Halloween.

Kitties, we have a jam-packed week planned...come back tomorrow to see what antics our delinquent Mommy has been up to.  Also, we have another bloodthirsty kitty conga line to report about, Spitty the Kitty Viceroy news, Felix goes groovy, plus a post from Shadow!

Stay tuned...

and

Happy Sunday!
We missed you.
It's good to be back!

Blingified Sheeb

Friends and Kitties!

Sheebie here, plain and stubby.

That sounds sorta awful, doesn't it?  But it's perfectly OK with me.  I am happy with not being a frilly glamorous sort of girl, in fact, I find that gewgaws and furbelows itch.  I like stuff that's functional--which does not mean I don't enjoy wearing beautiful things, I do.  So when Scott asked me what I wanted for our 20th wedding anniversary (October 2nd) I had an answer ready: a new wedding band.  I quit wearing my original wedding set about a year ago because the diamond needs to be reset (for the third time) and although I deliberately picked out a small stone--over Scott's objections, what is up men's obsession with size--I've whacked it and caught it on just about everything over the past nineteen years.
It was time to go Utilitarian.
But not Ugly.

So I went looking on line with my mental list (as opposed to my mental list) of requirements:

Original.  I wanted a one of a kind piece.

Functional.  No pointy bits, nothing sticking up or snaggy.

Quirky.  I love things that are different.

Gorgeous.  'Nuff said.

I looked off and on for weeks, and I eventually found exactly what I wanted on Etsy, crafted by the imaginative and talented artisan/jeweler Karen Haney.
I showed it to Scott , told him the price, (very reasonable) and placed my custom order...and last week it arrived.

Friends, it is PERFECT.

It is precisely what I wanted.

It is me!

It's a palladium/sterling alloy which is whiter and stronger than sterling, and has a beautiful mirror finish.  The design goes all around the band, so I can play with it and spin it around.  Plus it feels nice and sturdy on my finger and I don't have to worry about losing a stone.  I couldn't be happier--I feel married again!  heh.

Thank you Karen, for helping make our 20th so memorable.  I love my ring.

Happy Sunday!

Merchandising Monday!

Kitties!

Sheebie here.

My husband loves tie dye.  I mean, he REALLY loves it.  Buying shirts was gonna put us in the poor house, so he started dying his own, and one thing led to another, and now he's started another business, selling his work.  I'd post a bunch of photos, but I'd rather you pop over to his new Etsy store and look at his creations there!

Go on, I'll wait...

You're back?

What didja think?  Cool, huh?
Did you see that he names each shirt?  Just like art!  What a nut.

He has at least a hundred more items to list, and he does custom work as well, so please "follow" us and check back!  As I'm typing this he's creating tote bags, scarves, and aprons...and they look fabulous.

Now, I must eat some humble pie.  I, the Tech Queen of the Lounge, was unable to link a FB page to our store.  Sad but true.  So that link will be a few days in coming...should I add Twitter and Pinterest, too?  Anything else?  We're open for suggestions.

And I think I *may* have mentioned a contest yesterday...here's the scoop:  leave a comment (by midnight PST 4/24/13) and tell us which store item really caught your eye--and I'll do a random drawing for a Mystery Prize!  One comment per blog, and we ship internationally so everyone can participate.

Happy Monday, and Thanks for Looking!
(and maybe buying, fingers crossed)
