Kitties!
Happy Halloween!
We have some mighty frightening creatures here in the desert...guaranteed to scare the fur pants right offa you!
Please shield young kittens and squeamish humans from the following photos:
Mister Kadiddle Hopper!
Mommy is terrified of these.
Sidewinder Rattlesnake--notice something missing from the tip of the tail? We chewed the rattles off before Mommy took it away from us!
She's a real buzz kill, sometimes.
Johnny and his Desert Hairy Scorpion--sadly, Scorpions are not good at playing a long time.
The Little Brown Bat that Could!
Almost scare the poop out of Mommy, that is.
A Tarantula!
He was meandering down the hall at work, so Mommy scooped him into the jar and released him outdoors.
Missus Black Widow, with her potential children.
These Ladies are Bad News. Daddy sprays poison to kill them and Mommy smashes them with her shoe. They are worse than rattlesnakes--at least with a snake bite there's antivenin shots; a Black Widow bite would kill us.
Speaking of dead, here's a dead cockroach. Which is how most of 'em end up after WE see 'em!
They don't taste good though. We leave the carcasses for Daddy to clean up.
A Praying Mantis!
We are Not Allowed to eat these; something about being good for the environment, blah blah blah.
Whatever.
And now, the Most Terrifying Creature of them all...
The STYLISH MOMMY!
aaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
Happy Halloween Monday!
XX The Kreepy Katnip Lounge Kats XX
Good golly those spiders give me the willies...I could cope with everything else, but not those!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween friends :-)
I think your Horror Show was delightful and delicious (well, maybe not that rattlesnake), but somehow the Human just did not appreciate it as I did. Pfft. People. Buzz killers, every one.
ReplyDeleteOk so, we aren't allowed to eat Mantids either. That Woman said the snake was the bomb! She LOVES them. Since we don't haz any here we wouldn't know. She does draw the line at the scorpions though. She did go 5 sheets of white at that photo. We think all them legs look pretty juicy. Black Widows, got em' we don't mess with them though. We refuse to acknowledge cockieroachies. eeewwwww. BATS are WAY COOOL but we don'tz gottem here neither and you can keep your trantulas too. Too big, too hairy; not much meat on 'em. The grasshopper is giant! We haz those and we don'ts care. Those spiny legs get stuck in our teefs.
ReplyDeleteWe all got bottlebrush tails at that last photo though but not cuz of anything cept That Woman LOLing so loud she scared the crazypants right offa us.
xoxo
Happy Meowloweenie!
Ms. Stella O'Houligan
We think you have the best toys around! We love the cat hair all over the roach, and wonder if the rattle snake lived and grew new rattles. The mom lived in Phoenix for a couple years and learned not to fear some those critters (it took awhile), she even had a dead scorpion collection which mysterious disappeared during the move back east. Happy Howl-O-Ween!
ReplyDeleteWe are in awe of you guys. Those critters are well scary. We are not sure what we would do if we met them, especially Mirsku: he spent two days upstairs because Tessie-kilpikonna was at the bottom of them and he was scared! We get worried about eagles but they cannot get through the catio. However we could give your Mom a run for her money - our Äiti is a million times worse than she is! We daren't ever post a picture of her.....
ReplyDeleteYour mommy is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSherpa the Farm cat had a rattlesnake. A very, very little one.
Those were some major creepy critters! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteGah, those creatures gave me the heebiejeebies. Well, not your mommy. I dress like that too.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! You guys caught a RATTLESNAKE?! I am impressed!! Most of those creatures look pretty yummy. Sadly, we do not get praying mantids out here, because they look like FUN! We get black widows out here too, and my human finds them outside sometimes - they are the only creatures my human does not feel bad about killing; she only does it to protect us!
ReplyDeleteWe haf dem hopper things here but dey don't bother mom, either do da praying bugs. Now, she's glad dat we do not haf snakes 'cept fur some harmless ones and no poisoness spiders either, at least dat is what she sez, we don't know 'cuz some of dem taste purrty bad.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have some very scary monsters where you live. Mummy thinks bats are very cute. That praying mantis looks like its laughing. Mummy thinks your mummy is very brave to catch such a scary spider. We only get little ones here but I think the mumster would run screaming from one of those monsters hee he. Enjoy Halloween and we hope all you kitties get lots of lovely treats :)xxxx
ReplyDeleteThose are some scary big bugs! George
ReplyDeleteHoly Rats !!!! You got so much creepy bugs collections !!! Pretty spooky for mom but I'm drooling serious here, I luv to eat A Praying Mantis!!!! Yum !!! Mom couldn't help any of them. By the time she saw, it already slippery sloped down to my tummy..tee..heh..heh

Thanks for stopping by for my birthday! I hope you all got lots of treats, cause I know you can pull lots of tricks. Maybe your parents would suspend the catch and release program for one day and let you eat what you catch! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteOMC! Those were scary! The snake, the scorpion, the spiders...
ReplyDeleteBut Mommy caused us ta go put our faces in the waterbowl! It burned, it burned...
We had to cover our mom's eyes from all those scary creatures!! She's a wimp when it comes to spiders and snakes and other creepy crawlies.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween to all of you!!
The pictures were really cool, until the spiders. Don't like spiders. You guys have cooler critters than my guys in MO. Lucy, our dog, has gotten three opossum, but a few crickets and little spiders are the best the cats can do.
ReplyDeleteLove your ears and crocs. We are in identical attire, except mine is blue. And I have no crocs. Or ears.
You all sure have some crawly creepy critters around your place. We think your mom looks very cute in her cat ears. She really is a pretty mom. Those are really nice pictures of all your critters. Mumsy thought it was cool that your mom was holding that bat. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteWe loooove your creepy critters - except for the bat because we love bats. Mice with wings! The stylish mummy, well, the cat accessory makes up for a lot :-)
ReplyDeleteWooooo, some of those were very spooky! Those scorpions bother us the most, and the tri-ant-ula. Mumsy gots one of them tangled up in her hair one time. She hasn't been to fond of them since then. We not allowed to eat, or even play with, those man-tass-is-its either. Yup, something about they being good...blah-blah, yatta-yatta yatta...
ReplyDeleteWe hope all you guys had a fun Halloween! Thank you for coming to visit us. It felt really good to be missed.
Hugs to all and we see you guys later :-)
Bwwwaaaaahhhh! You made our mom get all girly and skeered! She was okay with the grasshopper, the snake, the praying mantis, and the bat! It was the spiders and the roach that did her in. Mom can't even look at spiders on t.v. To her the movie, Arachnaphobia was the scariest horror movie ever! And it wasn't even a horror movie!
ReplyDeleteThose are some nasty critters!!! Meowm remembers all to well having black widows and the cockroaches! Yuck!!! She really hated the cicadas too. Noisy little bastards. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe must admit, we were so glad to see the mommy and kitty after looking at all those creepy critters!!
ReplyDeleteMom got the chills looking at these desert creatures. She's glad I don't get to play wif them.
ReplyDeletexoxo Kassey
