My main beat here at Chez Crazypants is Shower Patrol.  

Don't panic!  I only go in when it's dry.  Mostly.  Um.  Mistakes have been made in the past...

...which is why I now check out the floor and the surroundings for any moisture first before I commit to a full session of stall scrutiny.

Because who wants a wet tummy when they are writing up reports?

Foreign Food

Mommy baked pulla, a popular Finnish sweet roll.

I helped.

This variety is called korvapuusti ("slapped ears") and has brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon rolled up inside.  Whatever.  I was far more interested in the butter/cream/egg mixture that went into the dough.  It was, I'm happy to report, delicious!

And so was the pulla...Daddy ate SIX.

The Box

Kitties!

The Man in the Brown Shorts brought us a box.

Mommy got the stuff that was inside the box...some silly coffee brewer thingy...but naturally the box was the best part of the delivery and Mommy put it out on the Catio for our amusement.

There was some discussion about possession...

...but not for long!

Johnny is the Chief Box Investigator around here and never shirks his duty.

The verdict?

This box is completely acceptable for all feline activities, including napping, spying, snoozing, lurking, lounging, and just general hanging out.

Oh, and peeking!

The Mighty Explorer

Rupert here, exploring on the Catio.

I strolled past the Isles of Avocado...

...to the mouth of the Forbidden Blue Cave...

...heretofore unexplored by this intrepid grey kitty.

Slowly I crept inside, mindful of any creatures that might be lurking there...

...and of which there were thankfully none.

It's not, perhaps, on the scale of finding the source of the Amazon...but satisfying, nonetheless.

The Filthy Dirty Baby LOVES to explore the corner kitchen cupboard.  Oftentimes I'll be puttering in the kitchen when I hear bumps and thumps emanating from within and sure enough, out pops Bibbles!  Only she and Maui know how to open doors, so I'm sure she goes in there for a nice private nap.  (He snoozes in there, too.)

You'll notice some scabs and schmutz on The Baby's nose--we think she was biting electrical cords (again) and got zapped (again).  *sigh*  Time to buy new cord covers!

Anyway, here's what I saw the other evening:

*rustle rustle rustle*

::snoopitty snoop snoop sniff::

Just minding my own business, inspecting the cupboard here...

YIKES!!! 

Mommy, you very nearly scared the fur pants offa me.

How long have you been there, sneakily watching me?

I need some pets after such a traumatic encounter.

Some treats would be nice, too.
