And, um, other kitties.

Last week when the house was in an uproar bedrooms got painted we all played it safe and hung out on the Catio...it's pretty darn hard to hide UTB* when the beds are GONE.

Scouty and CC took shelter in the Purple Hissy Hut.

Around noon Mommy realized that the Twins hadn't been indoors all day, which meant they had missed out on their morning allotment CATIO CHIPS!--so she tossed a few down the Hissy Hut hatch for them to eat.

Naturally *I* was quite interested...

...and I will neither confirm nor deny that I ate almost all of them!

I am disgusted with Mommy, and do you know why?

Because she's gone and LEFT!

She went to Arizona to wait on Shadow visit her parents--and won't be back for elebenty billion years five days.

I am outraged, kitties, OUTRAGED at this turn of events.

I'm sure *I* never signed a PURRmission slip.

This is gonna be a loooooong week...

Caturday on the Catio!

Kitties!

As promised, today we have for you a little video, starring many Kats on the Catio.

The videography is a little shaky--but since Mommy filmed it the day after the Monumental Puke Fest (2015) we're gonna let it slide...and she did manage to talk a teeny bit less, too, for which we award her one bonus point.

Speaking of whom, Mommy is back to normal whatever that is and thanks all of you for the sympathy, empathy, and well wishes.  She says it's nice to know that A) she's not alone in having a great barf story, and B) she has all of you to share it with.

Us, in Action!

I was perched like a vulture on top of the Apartment Complex Sunday morning, screaming my head off politely requesting food and/or love (I like to keep Mommy guessing) when I realized that Mommy had treacherously turned on the video!  Naturally I didn't have much to say after that* but she kept filming to make a little something for all of you to view:

Scouty here, doing the usual...trying to avoid being eaten.

The Purple Hut is just the place to get away from it* all.

Mommy calls the Purple Hut the "Hissy Hut", because allegedly I *HISS* at her when she peers in the top hole to assess my juiciness ascertain my whereabouts.

I can neither confirm nor deny this accusation.

But this look just about says it all, don't you think?

Tuesday in the "Little Out"

We have something different to show you today.

When Mommy & Daddy first moved into their "new" house in Las Vegas there was a doggie door on the West side of the house, and Daddy rigged up a wire enclosure so we could go outside for some fresh air and do our business in the litterboxes. It was only four feet tall, which was plenty high for us but pretty hard for Mommy to move around in and scoop.

On the Southwest side of the Great Room there's a "divot" on the room where the corner of the house comes in but it's under roof outside.

It was perfect for a Cat enclosure for us. So some strangers came and installed screening and a People door in the divot space.

Here's Felix relaxing out there:

To the left of the photo (where you can't see) there's a door to the outside. That's Mommy's treadmill handle you see...and you might notice we don't have a ginormous kiddy wading pool for a litterbox. That's because there were only six of us at the time.

This is what the area looked like right after it was screened in:

Pretty rough. But Daddy knew he would fix it up nice for us. The first thing he did was install a Cat flap for us so we could go in and out, in and out, in and out.

After the first winter went by Mommy & Daddy decided that they needed a windbreak for the Cat flap...

And that's the chest thingy on the right.

It has a lift up lid on the left hand side so Mommy can get in it to vacuum up our furs.

And the inside of the chest, as seen from the flap. There's a second Cat flap (on the left) leading to the enclosure, and the chest blocks the hot and cold Las Vegas winds.

After the big Catio was built, Mommy & Daddy started calling the enclosure the "Little Out". It's still very popular, especially on winter afternoons, where it's protected from the wind and sunny.

The chest had been christened the "Lobby". As you can see, the Lobby is a very popular hangout. Scouty in particular likes to sleep in the Lobby, and when Mommy opens up the Cat flap and startles him he hisses. So the Lobby is also known as the "Hissy Hut".

And there you have it!

So if you come over and don't see us on the Catio, don't panic! Check the Little Out and the Hissy Hut...we might be there, instead.
