She's HOME!

Kitties!

Jimmy John James here.
After elebenty billion days ten long hours of waiting, Mommy is back home where she belongs--on the sofa with me hugging her feets.  Truthfully, Mommy's lap is fine for a nap, but in my humble opinion, nothing beats a good schtinky foot for a pillow.

Unless it's a shoe...

Happy Friday!

String Slaughter

Kitties!

May Ling here.
Mommy put new laces in her work boots, and tied one of the old ones onto the cat tree for me us to play with

I don't care what anybody says, my our Mommy is all right.

Although this bootlace does appear to be sneaky!

Maybe that's why she got new ones?

Mommy:  It's because they wouldn't stay tied, Miss Ling!

What?  Mommy?  You're over there?

I didn't notice you!

**purrrrrrr**

Happy Tuesday!

If the Shoe Fits...

Kitties!

Nekkid Johnson here.
Mommy wanted to get some pictures of me in all my nood glory, but every time I saw the camera I headed towards her so she couldn't get a good shot.  So, she took off her flip flops for bait.

It worked.
I simply adore shoes!
All was good...

...until everything went horribly wrong...

Daddy had a Bright Idea.

Flailing occurred.

As did some struggling by both parties.

Thank Cod Daddy had the attention span of a gnat; he gave up after a try or two.

Stupid shoes.
I fall for 'em every time...

Happy Monday!

Oh, the Aroma...and Other Things

Kitties!

Sylvester here.
Mommy has THE best smelling shoes in the world, bar none.  Compared to hers, Daddy's shoes are lame examples of footy fragrance.  None of us glom onto delicately whiff his shoes, ever!

Back in Illinois, Angel Fuzzy used to wait every evening for Mommy to take off her work boots and he'd spend at least fifteen minutes thoroughly "enjoying" them.
I totally understand.

Mommy survived her evening at work Sunday night.  A huge electrical transformer blew up and knocked out all the power at both treatment plants--the blast was big enough to shake the building where her co-worker was.  Nobody was hurt and the power was restored fairly quickly, but she spent most of her shift putting her plant back on line and troubleshooting stuff that wasn't "happy" about being so abruptly shut down.  It was a fast night but she was quite glad to get home and snuggle into bed with us and relax.  She and her co-workers like to say "boring is good" and this is exactly why!

Also, many of you asked about the Magic Dust that gets sprinkled on our foods.  It's called Fortiflora.  Mommy uses one packet per feeding, (generally five to seven cans for us) so a little goes a long way.  Kona is a terribly picky eater and The Baby is sometimes less than enthusiastic about eating and this stuff does the trick.  In fact, the box is stored way up high in the cupboard where some over-enthusiastic cat (*koff*koff*Salem*koff*koff*) can't get to it, rip the packets open, and go to town.*
Mommy asked me to mention that Grayce's poop (she has intestinal issues) have gotten better also, smell-wise at least.  Sorry, Grayce--please don't whap me for telling...

Well, I need to get back to enjoying these shoes.

Happy Monday!

Investigation

Kitties!

CC here.
The other day when I was out on the catio I saw something that was verreh disturbing:

My best buddy John had LOST HIS HEAD!

ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Well...not literally headless...although he *was* a bit gaga over Mommy's shoe.  I was so relieved his cranium hadn't capered off that I had to sit for a moment and collect myself.

Soon Johnny found another attraction--and Mommy got her shoe back!

Happy Thursday!

A Shoe-In

Kitties!

Tiny Johnson here.
I'm resting on Mommy's stinky aromatic shoes.

You don't need these, right?  You're gonna sit there and read for a while?

Good.
Cos I'm not done with 'em yet.

Happy Sunday!

Pipe Cleaner Improvement

Kitties!

Johnny here.
I'm playing with my favorite Yellow Pipe Cleaner.

They has the bestest flavor, in my opinion.

Although this one could use a little fillip.  Perhaps some eau de toe jam?

Yes.

Daddy's checkered Vans have a lovely funky footy scent with a top note of insole slime, and a most excellently lingering rubbery finish.

I'll just marinate my Yellow Pipe Cleaner for a while, and think dastardly thoughts about how I'd like to eat my pestiferous sister, The Baby.  Probably with mustard.

What's that, Mommy?  Oh, nothing...

Happy Wednesday!

Phoning it in on Sunday with Sheebie...

Friends and Kitties!

I had an idea all planned out to write about for today and then I got sidetracked window shopping on-line and wasted nearly three hours. Then I got all fretty and stuff about what would I entertain all y'all with and whilst I was in the bathroom (where you always get the best ideas) I remembered--I had all kind of cool random stuff on my phone!

Mothra!
Anybody know what kind it is?  S/he was about 3 inches across.

Salem helping me put dishes away.
Yes, we have POTholders, heh heh.

Duct tape comes in sheets...how cool is that?

Felix, trying for some Positive Cattitude...

Sylvester guarding his bread wrapper.  And bread.

My stylin' new T.U.K. shoes...seven bucks!

A rainy view, driving to work Thursday afternoon.

The last thing is video I took Saturday morning.
Our Canary Palms are prolific date producers.  The flower blossoms are tiny, but there are hundreds of them, per bunch!  Two bunches opened overnight, and the bees were out in full force.  If you turn up the volume you can hear them hard at work.  They are very docile bees and paid no mind to me at all.
(The YouTube link is HERE)

It's hot and humid here again, believe it or not we're affected by Hurricane Isaac, too.  It pushed all the weather back West and the dry air we should be getting from the California desert is stalled.  Come on, Autumn!  I've been reading some really good books--check my Goodreads link later in the week, I should have it updated.  The Fall releases are coming out and I have several titles pre-ordered for my Kindle...now all I need is cooler weather to flake out on the Catio with a cat and a cuppa.

Happy Sunday, and have a Great Week!

Weird Wednesday

Kitties!

Johnny here.
Daddy does silly stuff sometime to make Mommy laugh.
Look at this!

Daddy put my favorite stinky checker shoes his Vans on The Puffy Cat!
Mommy was cackling like a hen passing an ostrich egg.

hee hee...there's more...

Puffy Cat wore his Crocs!
Mommy *almost* needed adult diapers.

HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
Our peeps are seriously warped.

Happy Wednesday!
