The mystery toesies in yesterday's post were mine!

Earlier, I was snuggling on the sofa with Mommy.  Also, I was keeping an eye on the two rambunctious fluffmeisters (because they tease me) sleeping on the table behind us. 

Mommy likes this photo--not because it's any great shakes, but check out the shadow of my head on the sofa from the light of the TV--I'm making the bat signal!  Pretty cool, eh?

After elebenty billion days ten long hours of waiting, Mommy is back home where she belongs--on the sofa with me hugging her feets.  Truthfully, Mommy's lap is fine for a nap, but in my humble opinion, nothing beats a good schtinky foot for a pillow.

Another Tuesday Evening on the Sofa

Since I work evenings, me and the kittehs really treasure our evening couch surfing time on my days off.  After dinner I put on my jammies, get out a fresh snuggling blanket Cat Trap™, a cuppa joe and a donut (my grocery shopping reward) and settle in.  

Before long the trap springs:

After a nice satisfying Sucky Dance she scootles in, just in time for victim number two:

He prefers prime lappage area.  Making it hard to type.

Who likes cool vinyl against her undercarriage instead of the blanket--also, she's CATegorically opposed to sleeping next to any of the Lesser Cats*.

I sure wish I could spend every evening like this...come on, retirement!

Squashy Selfie

Do you see those fingers behind me?  They are Mommy's!  I'm squashing her arm between my body and the sofa cushion...it's tough job, immobilizing Mommy but I'm just the Mancat for it.  And I'm sure you can tell by my pose that I am very Hard At Work.  Naturally I asked Mommy to take a photo to document my labo(u*)rs, hence this "selfie".

Also, if you look closely at my right arm you can see where the vet stole my furs when I went in for my dental--the nerve!  It will take weeks to regrow them right.

My work is never done....

We had a wonderful time with our Temporary Servants Auntie Ellen and Auntie Barbara--we miss them already and we can't wait for them to visit again, soon!

I love when Mommy leaves the leopard blankie all piled up on the sofa, it's the Best Spot EVAR to make biscuits and settle in for a nice snooze...especially if she's *just* gotten up and the spot is all cozy warm from her ample behind bony shanks.  Today she didn't have the heart (read: bravery--ed.) to move me, and since she was busy obeying my whims I requested a whole-body selfie.  To which she obliged.

Do I rule, or what?

Here's a typical evening scenario:

The Baby and Sweet Pea dominate Mommy's legs, pinning her to the sofa...

...while Mister Jealous (Rupert) goes for her lap (or even further up), prime real estate.

Rupert:  Mommy, I'm the most handsomest gray man in the house.  Don't look at those Whitesters.  Look only at me.  In fact, let me help you--I'll obscure them from view with my giant radar dish ears!   

Just call me "on Top of Mommy's chesticles Cat".
