Could I have some purrs?  I think I may be the latest victim of the cat flu that's been going around the ranks here.  I'm a bit tottery on my pins and all I want to do is snooze, and I have some prodigiously HUGE eye crusties going on, too.  Thank Cod Mommy wiped 'em off before she took my picture!

  Mommy made a special trip to the store for tunas, potted meats (gross, but she loves it--ed.), Gerbers, a fresh broasted chicken, and canned ham to tempt me into eating, and I'm happy to report I've been cleaning every dish offered.  The horrid pink juice is administered twice daily, and so far I'm not too snotted up, I'm just so tired, I'm just sleep sleep sleeping, all day and night.  I started feeling cruddy last Wednesday, so if I'm not perkier by the end of the week Mommy will tote me off to the vet's office for a check up; everybody else here stricken with the sickies has improved in that time frame.

Sooooo...a few purrs would not go amiss--help me avoid a vet visit!

Two-fer Tuesday Texts

Kitties!

Mommy has been engrossed in re-reading the Song of Ice and Fire series lazy lately, and can you believe we almost had nothing to show y'all for today's post?

Thank Cod Daddy texted her a couple of pics of some recent goings-on!

Sylvester usurped The Baby from her bed in the laundry room...

...but that's OK, because Daddy gave her a binky in the cupboard above the refrigermatator! 

We've been dying to get up there and explore for ages--but the cupboard was chock full o'crap (Mommy's description) and there was no room in there, at all.  Well.  Daddy took care of that*...making this the elebenty-billionth spot for sleeping in our house.

Do we rule or what, kitties?

Oh and Mommy?  Clean the top of that thing--it's feelthy!

Triple Beddy Tuesday!

Do you see that Lil' Pink Ear?

That the Lil' Pink Ear is attached to Miz Grizz...

...who is napping on the dining table, smack dad in the center of not one, not two, but THREE beddies!    Mommy set them there after they got washed, with the intention of redistributing them back out on the Catio...two weeks ago.

Of course, Sweet Pea's Special Box is on the table as well, avoiding the wrath of Sylvester, the Mystery Pee'r. 

Not a lot of Dining happening here lately, unless it's Cat Treats!  The girls trade off sleepy spots and at least one spot is almost always occupied--it's the new Whitester Hangout.

"You're Asking For It!" Number 1

Kitties!

Welcome to our first installment of "You're Asking For It!", where we answer questions you have about life here at the Lounge.

Today we're going to address sleeping arrangements!

Many of you wondered who slept where, with who, and if we shuffle around.

Here are all our sleeping secrets, revealed!

For various reasons (snoring, different schedules, Mr. Hot Flash) Mommy and Daddy sleep in separate rooms.  This is great because we have TWO beds to hog occupy.  Daddy sleeps with the Titans, Jupiter (Johnny) and Uranus (Maui).  They stay pretty much out of his way and sleep in regular spots, although Maui does sleep in Daddy's knee-bows occasionally.

Sylvester doesn't like being on beds!  He says he wasn't Allowed to before, and beds still weird him out a little bit.  He prefers to sleep in his heaty box in the Living Room, solo.

Nip 'maters make good pillows.

The Baby sleeps in the Laundry Room on her throne.

Sweet Pea loves HER round bed on the Dining Table. 

She is a "floater" in Mommy's bed...she likes to sleep under the covers, maybe once a week or so.

If Mommy isn't, you know, gassy!

Where's the Tail?

Here are some of the Regulars that sleep with Mommy every night.  (Except for Johnny.)

Felix is in HIS bed, in HIS corner.

Rupert and CC are in the spot where KonaKitty sleeps.

Scouty comes up late, after Mommy conks out.  He also sleeps with Daddy, especially if he can snuggle with Johnny, whom he LOVES.

Moving up the bed, Salem snoozes in the corner by Mommy's pillows. 

Grayce, Rupert and CC sleep on the other side.  CC is a huge encroacher cuddlebug and he snuggles Mommy over to the other edge of the bed.

So that's six, sometimes seven Cats with Mommy!  We all purr and snuggle together in a big pile. Sometimes Mommy can't sleep and she'll pet us until she's tired and drifts off.  She says our purrs are so relaxing.

Sometimes Mommy whines about us making her "hot", but we just cuddle in closer.  We know that's her way of saying she loves us lots.

So Kitties, that's where we like to sleep, especially in the Winter.  In the Summer, we crash outside on the Catio quite a bit.  But by morning, we all gather in Mommy's room, waiting for Breakfast.

Which brings us to next week's subject:  Feeding the Horde!
