Our Halloween Post!

Kitties!

Happy Meow-o-ween!

C'mon in...
Mommy is channeling her Inner Kitty!

And Daddy is, well, being himself.
Mr. Crazypants!

heh heh...you just knew we'd get them back for dressing us up!

We've got some yummy treats for you...

but first some BIG MEWS:

Today is Salem's One Year Gotchaversary!
She showed up just before midnight last Halloween, which is why Daddy picked "Salem" for a name.
Turned out to be a good choice, cuz she's bewitched us all!
We lubs our Tiny Tuxie Sisfur.

Now on to the goodies!

EveryCat say:

"Nip or Meat!"

Grab a Pumpkin,
And fill it up with Friskies Minis!

Don't be shy...
...there's enough for everyone!

There's Trout Treats and Tuna Crunchers, too.

Mommy filled the fountain with Ghoul-Aid if you get thirsty

and we have plenty of Nip toys to play with!

We have something for your (in)Significant Humans, too!
Make sure you get a few pencils and flashlights to take home.

Happy Halloween!

Stay safe, all you People and critters.

Saturday Shoes, Red Crocs Style

Kitties!

Tiny Johnson here.

It's no secret that I LOVE my Daddy!  And one of the best things about him is his feet.
Boy oh boy, Daddy's feet are the best.
Even Scouty nibbles on them from time to time...under my supervision, of course.
If I can't get to a toe or two I go for Daddy's slippers.
This is an old picture from The Archives--can you tell?  I'm a lot larger nowadays, and my floof is almost twice as long.  But I even as a youngster I loved Daddy's feets!

::La di da dah::

 Hey, what's this?
It's Daddy's Red Crocs!
Mmmm, they smell like valerian root.

Wait...is anybody watching?
Good...all alone...

::Whiffffff...Sniffffff::
Ahhhhhhh.

What a great way to spend a Saturday.
Inhaling the overpowering odor hypnotic smell of my Daddy's feet.
Kitties, I hope your day is as aromatically enticing as mine!

Happy Saturday!

Forever Home Friday

Kitties!

Sylvester here, reporting on my new digs.

Correction:  My FOREVER Home!
I love it!
My Daddy and Mommy are pretty easygoing and super-duper lenient.

They run for the camera when I lick the bread...
I've found out that the bread isn't usually so easy to get to; Rupert is a hard-core bread piercer and it's generally stored out of reach.  We've had some long conversations about bakery products and we like the crinckley-wrapped stuff the best.

What you DON'T see in this picture is the big bowl of tuna!
That I just polished off.

My furz and skin are all shiney and clean now.
I got kibble at the Vet and now I get canned foods...and my dandruff is all gone!
Daddy has been Zoom Grooming and Furminating me every day, and I really enjoy it, I'm even starting to like having my tummy petted.  Especially when Mommy does it.

I'm getting lots of exercise.  The way I run around like a MadCat on the catio you would never guess my front claws are missing.
The Other Cats are starting to play with me!  I'm a Big Boy (17 pounds!) and sometimes I get a little rough and then I get the Evil Squirt Bottle, but for the most part we have LOTS of fun playing chase, hide & seek, and POUNCE!

I get catnip...
I'm a total Nip Head.
Me and Johnny are a tiny bit baked here...Puffy Cat, too!

I'm still figuring out the best places to sleep.
I like to snooze in the linen closet, and in the Little Out.
But a nice relaxing stretch with Maui is fun too.

Daddy takes Arty photos of me.
Fine by me...just keep that attention coming, Daddy.

Yup, I love it here.
The snuggling is divine.

I'm so glad I'm Home.

Happy Friday!

Thursday in the Garden with The Baby

Kitties!

The Baby here.
::Purrrrr::

Kitties,  I am starting to get my bones back when I have the Dreaded Harness on.
And I have decided on a fitting revenge.

I'm gonna TATTLE on Mommy & Daddy.
heh heh.

*

We have two citrus trees in our backyard, an Orange and a Lemon.
Their blossoms smell wonderful in the Spring.
Here I am undernearth the Orange tree.  Do you orange see the Orange hanging down?  There's a lot of them!
Citrus fruit takes a loooong time to ripen, Daddy will pick them in late December or early January.

*

 OK, here's the tattle.
This is the Lemon tree when it first came home.  Daddy buys a lot of reject sale plants at the end of the year, and gives 'em his special "Green Thumb" treatment--and they thrive!
Sometimes the plant ID tags are missing.
Sometimes Daddy loses them and forgets what he bought...which was the case with the Lemon tree.  Daddy thought it was a LIME tree!

So the "Lime" tree grew and grew, and made fruit for the first time last year.
Mommy & Daddy picked the "Limes"  in November, thinking they were ripe.
The Lemon tree in Spring 2010.

Here are some of the "Limes".  They were (according to Mommy & Daddy) "Pretty Dang Tart!", although they made a kick-butt margarita.
Then, in February, Mommy made a discovery.  She found a few more fruits in the tree, and they were YELLOW!  The Lime tree was really a LEMON!

Hahahahahahaha!

Lemon Tree = 1
Pawrents = 0

Tortie and Toy Tuesday

Kitties!

May Ling here.

The other day, I was hanging out on the Catio, having a lil' sunbath in this hammock.
la la la...

From out of nowhere, the Evil Feather Toy appeared!
GAH!

Naturally, I had to get it.
::swat swat bat swat::

I peeked through the slot, timing my attack...
I slay you with my claws, Evil Feather Toy!

Intense concentration was called for.
closer...closer...

 POUNCE!
Rats!  Missed.

 Then the Toy got clever.
The Handle tried to get me from underneath!
That drove me Crazypants.  I danced and pranced all over the hammock, killing it.  Many many many times!
It was totally dedded when I was finished.
::tappity tap, jump shuffle hop::

Kitties, it wore me out.
Victory!

Happy Tuesday!

MishMash Monday

Kitties!

Do you want to know a dirty little secret?
Of course you do!

Whenever Mommy does a "MishMash" post it means she's lazy.
She trolls the archives, picking random unrelated (and usually unflattering) photos of us to post, with cutesy captions underneath.

*sigh*

Mommy:  Rupert, you're a TattleCat!
Now the whole Blogosphere knows I'm a slacker!
Here's YOUR silly picture...
Bwahahahaha!

Sylvester, why are you showing everybody unvacuumed fur?
Are you snickering at me?

May Ling, are you confused?
I thought so.
The airplane ears give it away.

Poor CC, Rupert is trimming your eyebrows again...don't you notice him doing that?
Of course you don't, you silly boy.

Felix objects to the Pawparazzi, vigorously.
Mister Crankypants strikes again!

The End.

Happy Monday, Kitties!

Arizona, Invaded!

Kitties!

We are very, very worried.

Our Mommy's pawrents live in Tucson, Arizona, and there are INVADERS in their back yard!
There are three or four of them living in the Pink Trumpet vine.

Look at his vishus mouth and his horny hiney!
But that's not the worst of it...these caterpillars eat a TON of leaves, which means...

you guessed it...they POOP!

A lot.

Here's an expert drawing of the Evil Caterpillar's Poop Launching Area:
(courtesy of Mommy)

The GrandPawrent's back patio.
Or as they say in the Southwest, the "Ramada".

The green squiggly stuff is the pink trumpet vine where the Vishus Evil (and Hungry) Caterpillars live.

According to Mommy's Mom and Dad, the pillarpoops are shaped like tiny hand grenades.
What if they start exploding?
We are quite concerned, as you can tell.
We can't sleep...

...or relax!

Does anykitty out there know what sort of Caterpillar this is?
We'd love to find out.

Happy Sunday Kitties!
