We have to answer some questions about us...and you KNOW how much we like to gossip, even if it's just about us!

So here goes:

1.Where do we like to hang out?

Besides the Catio, we have a few other favorite spots...

Mommy's lap.  (Check out her fabulous outfit!)

Daddy!  We love to hang out with Daddy and give him help.  He needed A LOT of help when this picture was taken.

We like the linen closet, it has three apartments for us to choose from.  Mommy and Daddy are used to getting a furry towel to dry off with.  Cat fur is VERY absorbent.

Mommy's bed is a great hangout too.  It has nice kootchy fuzzy blankets on it that are perfect for making biscuits.

2.  Who is our Kitty Crush?

Well, some of us have special LadyCats or ManCats; but we unanimously decided that we love our GrandmaCat!

She's the one on the left.

3.  What is our favorite scent?

CATNIP!!!

4.  What is our Favorite TV show?

We don't watch much TV.  We'd rather use it to play on.  It's fun for Mommy and Daddy too, they shout with joy when we put our paws all over the screen!

5.  What is our favorite Movie?

Mancat Monday Wax Attack!

Felitxh here, thorry about the lithp...it'th thorta hard to talk wif a waxth thtrip in your mouf.

Daddy made up more pothtage paid mailerth for hith buithineth, and then we played WAXTH THTRIP!

Daddy dangleth it in front of me ever tho entithingly.  I rethitht ath long ath I can, until I have to grab it and give it the bitey!

ACK!  It got away!

GOTCHA!

I subdued the strip eventually, I always do.  In fact, I sometimes EAT it--Daddy tries to prevent this but  I'm sneaky and occasionally get a few inches down before he catches on to what I'm doing.  

Nothing like some tasty wax to keep a fellow "regular".

Getting Ready for Bikini Season!

Salem here.

It's getting hot here in the Northern Hemisphere, and soon it'll be bikini season!  Or Speedo season.  Although Cats don't wear Speedos.  Or bikinis.

ANYWAY, in case some of you Cats have had a few too many Fancy Feasts, or chased the fevver a few times less than usual, here are six simple moves to fit you right back into your summer fur suit.

1.  Lie back and expose your tummy.

2.  Roll to the left.

3.  Streeeeeeeetch!

4.  Roll to the right.

5.  Streeeeeetch!

6.  Repeat elebenty times.

Stop whenever you get tired...

...or dizzy!

Hanging with Daddy

Grayce here, perched on top of Mount Crazypants, a.k.a. Daddy.

He's petting me!

Petting me is always a risky proposition, on account of I like to bite.

Hard.

But Daddy pets me just right...

...gives my ears a nice massage... 

...administers a nice neck squeezie-scratch...

...and finishes by rubbing down my spine.

Daddy, let me show you my appreciation for your excellent petting technique!

Ahhhhh, time for a nap.

George comes INSIDE!

Kitties!

Sweet Pea here, in the laundry room. 

 Earlier I was out on the Catio and George was out there too--and guess what?  He came inside with me!  Not that he had much choice clamped between my teeth, but still.  I let him go so we could play a little and he ran like the dickens and hid under the dryer.

Daddy saw it all happen.

Mommy was at the grocery store, and Daddy called her and asked how soon she'd be home because we needed another person to play hide-n-seek with George.  

Mommy laughed and said she was on her way!

And she was home in just a few minutes...I didn't even have time for a nap...not that I felt like sleeping or anything.

Daddy moved the washer and dryer, et Voila, George was REVEALED!

Mommy, you need to clean behind stuff a leetle more often.  George could get disease lurking back there.

Then, Mommy scooted her bum around the dryer, and snatched George up!  He was a pretty big George; about a foot long including his tail, which I Did Not have a chance to make fall off and play with.  In fact, George was totally intact, so Mommy let me smell him (so I didn't camp by the dryer for the next 374 hours) and released him outside.  

It was all pretty exhausting.

Pee Ess:  If any of you kitties do bring in half dedded things and your Mom or Dad has to finish them off, our Mommy puts our trophies in a plastic bag in the freezer.  It's quick, and, Mommy hopes, painless.

And it beats the shovel technique.

Let's go for a stroll...

We have oranges!

The lantana Mr. Crazypants planted this spring is blossoming.

Our desert willow is in full flower.  We didn't have it trimmed back last fall so it's quite a bit larger this year.

It does a big show in the spring, and continues to flower until fall.

Purple butterfly bush.

The bees love this plant; we have two plants and two squillion bees.

Naturally, none of them were in a mood to pose for the camera!

Most importantly, the CatNip garden is growing like gangbusters.

The Horde is already enjoying nightly Nipfests.

I'm going to make a mojito with the leaves one of these days...I'll keep you posted!

Poop Extravaganza!

Kitties, Rupert's post about our litterboxpools garnered lots of comments with questions!

So I'm gonna answer 'em...

just let me hop down. 

The Baby's not the only kitty in the house with mad jumping skillz!

C'mon and follow me out to the Catio.

We have three litterboxpools, two on the Catio and one inside the house.  In addition, there's a HUGE plastic tub in the Little Out for our convenience.

Here's Mommy with the bucket and shovel, all ready to scoop. 

She's got on one of her snappy outfits.

It's enough to blind you! 

Our first litterboxpool literally blew into our life yard one afternoon when we had a windstorm.  The funny thing is that Daddy had just talked to a friend who had said that's what we needed!  Karma.

The others were purchased at Wally World and KMart.  And y'know what?  The one from KMart is a DOG wading pool, and has a BONE imprinted on the bottom!

ha ha ha!

We use Fresh Step Clumping litter, because that's what Sam's Club sells inexpensively  Since there's so much litter in the pools, they only get scrubbed a couple times a year, (it's a huge project to shovel out all the litter) but Daddy keeps the sand pretty deep so our "deposits" are usually in the middle stratum, and not clinging anywhere.

Except for Salem, who has the weirdest peeing position we've EVER seen; she squats with one hind foot on the rim!  So she makes clingy corner pees.

Finally, I have a bit of gossip...CC rolls in the pools!
