Some Sad News

I have some sad and bad news; I have cancer.

Last week I went to the vet for a full blood work-up and x-rays because I haven't been my normal self for a little bit and I've lost weight.  My bloods are fine, however, it was the x-rays that revealed that my innards are all wonky with fluid and abnormalities.  The vet said I could have an ultrasound and/or exploratory surgery, but that it would only confirm what type of cancer I have--and at this point it looks fairly advanced.  Chemotherapy might be a last-ditch option, but since I detest (so much) being poked, prodded, or otherwise examined Mommy and Daddy have decided against it.  I am getting antibiotics which have helped me perk up a bit, and also prednolisone to reduce the angryness of my innards.  

So right now me and the Great Beyond are at a standoff--Mommy started a Good Day/Bad Day calendar and Daddy will keep a close eye on me too, to make sure I don't suffer.  I love and trust them implicitly, so I'm not worried about pain--I just wish I could stay longer so they don't hurt.  For now, I'm simply going to enjoy all the sunbeams, ham, and love I deserve.

Ticked Off Tux

Rumor has it that Mommy has ordered a walking vest (size:Whale) and a lead for me.  Apparently *I* am going to start strolling.  Mommy has Strong Opinions about weight management and how my girth has gotten, well, honestly, a wee tad outta hand.   

I am practicing for the first time she puts the dratted contraption on me by flopping over and rolling my eyes.

However...I do think going Outside might be fun, though...so I'm reserving final judgement for later.  After all, there are lizards and birdies beyond the back door.

We shall see, kitties--we shall see.

Mommy was just about to step out the door for work when she saw me doing some spectacular, tarty Flipsy-Doodles™ on the table.  I wanted my tummy rubbed...

...and I wanted it rubbed NOW!

Interesting fact: Only Mommy is allowed to rub my tummy, which make Daddy all jelly and stuff.  Of course, only he can pick me up for cuddles...that's just how I roll.

Mommy purchased herself ME a small area rug for the bedroom, and I absolutely adore it, for a variety of reasons:

1.  it's cosy

and

2.  it's always kinda dark in the room, making it hard to be bothered by the flashy box.

Sylvester Saves the Day

Mommy took a couple of photos of me that she really, really liked, but they were overexposed and beyond her "fixing".

Or so she thought...but I suggested trying out a couple of filters, and guess what--it worked purrfectly!

We decided on the "instant camera" filter and a black border to complete the old-fashioned flavor.  Now the glare enhances the image and the washed-out colors are right.

Mommy was quite pleased...and so was I.

Good thing she has me to help!
