Happy Memorial Day, Kitties!

Today is the day we honor the brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, and other selfless People who gave their lives to gain and preserve our freedom.

Kitties, did you know that Cats were right there, fighting alongside these courageous People? We were!

Mood ring Award

Kitties!

The Wonderful Dog-Lovin' Kitty Huffle Mawson gave us this awesome Mood Ring award! We were the color Pink, because we "are in the pink with their awesome catio and wonderful mum and dad who keep rescuing more kitties."

We are supposed to share it with four friends who remind us of the four colors of the mood ring.

BLUE: Admiral Hestorb, who has been a tiny bit sad lately because her Mommy has been gone more that she'd like.

PINK: The GirlCats over at Attie Cattie, Attie & Audrey. They are so feminine and girly! And we know they love pink!

ORANGE: Tenzing over at Jack of all Shades & Shadows. He is conspiring with our Ornj furbling Scouty to prepare a big pot of Hooman Chutney!

Green: Raymond & Busby, who have a small yet wonderfully varigated garden.

Silly Saturday with Tiny Johnson

Kitties!

Mommy came home from the store today with TWENTY-FOUR cans of one of our favorite Fancy Feast flavor--TROUT! But that's not the best part, she gave us the box to play in after she put the cans away in the larder!

The Baby got in it right away. She's a regular box fiend.

So I decided to get in, too. A little background--I am sometimes called "Mister Smash" because I like to SQUEEZE myself into boxes that well, frankly, are too small for me.

But I knew this one would fit!

And after some adjusting, it did!

Hahaha! I have totally engulfed the Fancy Feast (Trout Flavor) Box!

And for those who may doubt, my hind feetsies and hiney are in the box, too. That's my floof hanging over, not an actual Cat body part, except for where my tail snaps on, and of course my Tail.

Hmmmm, looks like the Wet Cat Food Diet may be paying off.

Tired Thursday

Kitties,

Mommy and Daddy worked themselves really hard yesterday...all for us Kats! Or maybe BECAUSE of us Kats...is there a difference? Whatever.

They cleaned the whole Catio; blew debris, vacuumed, scrubbed concrete, rinsed off all the Pee-Mails on the screening and washed carpets! We'll be working for DAYS to get things properly good and stinky again. We did lots of snoopervision and The Baby tried to escape about a squillion times.

Afterwards we all went out and had a good time rolling on the cool damp concrete and Felix did laps on the upper skyway galloping around like a MadCat. Yup, his knee is almost all healed. He's a little stiff in the morning but it doesn't slow him down one bit.

Daddy picked us some fresh nip after stinky goodness o'clock and we all got a nice buzz on...now we're off for an evening nap to rest up for the 3 AM session of Kat Insanity, starring Maui the Ringleader of Bad.

We got an award! Hurrah!

It's from Sherkhan.

It's called "The Happy Cat" award, and Kitties, we always try to look on the bright side of life, so we would like to thank Sherkhan a whole bunch.

The only thing that the awardees need to do is to list five things that made them happy, and link to the blog that has given them the award!

OK, Five things that make us Happy:

1. Breakfast Time. Sometime in the night we finish off our food and we're always happy to see Mommy get up and serve us our Stinky Goodness.

2. The Catio. We love going in and out as we please. However, even with multiple Cat flaps it's nice to nag a Human into opening the door instead.

3. The Big Bed. It's not really for humans. They only use it a few hours a night and we use it all the time!

4. Scritchies. Who doesn't like a nice scratch? (Scouty doesn't count!)

5. A place to call Home. Because life on the Outside is Scary and Hard.

Stick Figure Sunday--Special Guest!

Last Sunday Mommy posted a drawing that showed how we keep her cozy and warm in bed at night. Milo & Alfie were so impressed they said they would donate some green papers to their local Cat shelter if Mommy drew THEIR Mom and how they keep her company in bed.

Milo & Alfie...Here you go!





As you can see, Mommy has some issues with scale. Milo & Alfie's Mom isn't really that small, so she fixed the drawing by naming it "Large Bed Cats". Very clever, Mommy. Don't design any space rockets! Mommy also took artistic license and gave the boy's Mom long curly hair. It's up to you if you think it improves the drawing, or not.

We have to point out that poor Alfie is Not Allowed to share the bed, and he spends the night gazing longingly at forbidden territory.

We had a lot of fun! Milo, Alfie, & Mom, thanks for the challenge, and we hope you like our Mommy's "Art". We're very happy to help out some homeless UK cats!

Sleepy, Silly Saturday

It's the weekend!

Time to kick back, relax, and let our furs down.

First up, we have The Baby getting silly with a catnip candy cane. Never mind that the holidays were six months ago. The nip is intoxicating every day!

Next up is KonaKitty, chillin' in the cushy foam tube.

Daddy used to sell vinyl records in his eBay store. Felix, as always, is Office Boss.

Sweet Pea, soaking up the heat. You are getting sleepy...very sleeeeeeeepy...

Formerly Feral Friday

Hello Kitties!

Rupert here. I have a confession to make; I am a total and complete Mommy's Boy. I love my Mommy more than anyone else in the whole wide world. When she comes home from work I trot up and chat...I go "eh eh eh eh eh". Daddy says I sound just like chimpanzee!

I sleep with my Mommy at night, and she's the only person I like to pick me up.

When I came in from the Outside, one of my first friends here was Felix. We still hang out together and sleep on Mommy's bed during the day. We watch out for Maui (who wants to EAT me) together and Felix tells Maui off if he gets too close to us.

Maui has been an extra Bad Cat lately because of the introoder kitty...he has started spraying and beating up on me even more than usual. Mommy is giving him calming pills (hee hee!) and I got a calming collar on Wednesday. I think the collar might work; I came out and be-bopped around a lot more yesterday, and I was more relaxed moving around the Catio. In the meanwhile, I like to hang out in the "Little Out", the original outside area Daddy had built when they first moved into this house. (I wasn't here yet.)

No, I Do Not have a leaf on Me.

I like to hang on top of the Lotus Cat tree and bathe. I also come up here to chase my tail whenever it gets sassy. From up here I can see Mommy unless she's in the bedroom so it works as a conning tower as well.

Incidently, NONE of us ever go in the bottom hole of the Lotus! There is a Monster in there.

I'm Really really glad that Angel Dusty led me to this House and to my Mommy. Being alone outside is a Bad Thing! I'm happy to call myself "Formerly Feral".

1. Cords. Forbidden fruit, but delicious anyway.

3. Daddy's toes. A sure-fire way to get him up!

4. The grill brush. All sorts of yummy stuff on this!

5. Paper. Felix demonstrates proper chewing form.

6. Telescoping feather toy! Pheasant feathers taped to an old radio antenna.

7. Crinkly paper.

8. The metal whiskers of Bathroom Cat.

9. Scratchy Post sisal.
